Hi William, still procrastinating about the winch. It maybe the Avenger 9.5. That winch looks good and the price is reasonable and then there's the Tigers11 about $300 cheaper. That decision will be next year I reckon.

Currently preparing for the 2 weeks 4x4 touring around Namibia in September. We have hired a Hilux 3.0 with rooftop tent and all the gear and we will be sleeping with the elephants and lions in the National Parks.
That will make a good trip report I reckon. Bit different than something here, cause there's plenty of things that will eat you in Africa!

Yeah both winches seem to get good reviews.

I remember you telling me about that trip to africa. Hope you bring back heaps of pics for us - that's if you make it back! Haha only kidding, I'm sure it'll be a cracker of a trip.

The AVN11 from Dig_Options went in yesterday. All works well, the rear camera is fantastic, good vision even at night.
Still learning how it all works. The street navigator is very easy to use and will look at the OziExplorer maps tomorrow.
