  • My Prado 90 series

Hey, been a member here since I purchased my prado last year, so thought id post a biuld thread to keep track of it.
I bought the car dead standard, a 98 model vx grande with 199k on the clock. After looking around at a few Prados I decided to buy this one so I could do my own mods the way I wanted.

Firstly I added a gme uhf and some Mickey T 4 rib tyres mounted on the original alloys, I really like these tyres, not too noisy and good on most surfaces, I seem to have to run very low pressures on soft sand though.
I also fitted some bilstien shocks and lovells coils, very happy with this combo.
After a few trips I also added some roof rails and a basket for a bit more space

I then removed the side steps after they got a bit damaged, and replaced the rear tail lights with some different ones,
I also got some new rims fitted in the size of 16x8 with a -13 offset..

We did a trip to esperance over the xmas break so I spent a little more on the car in prep. ditched the old roof rack and fitted a full length steel item.
Attached to this is an ironman awning.
    LED rear work light

Think thats about it for now....
On the wish list is a steel bar, spotties, would like to biuld a rear draw system and thinking about a smallish body lift and bigger tyres too.

    Cheers

Nice looking bus mate. Just wondering what size 4 ribs are you running? And also where did you get your work light mount from or did you make it. Cheers Mass.

Aww, how jipped. My '97 GXL doesnt have an inner handle on the rear door. :| Is it suppose to be like this, or were the factory fitters too lazy during 1997?

Mine doesn't have one either. I'm guessing the series 1 90s didn't have the inner rear door handle.
