Not sure what the deal is on the rear handle, mines a 98 model.
I was going to remove it completly but the locking mechanism sticks out a bit so i just left it and put the handle back on

Just ordered an xrox bar and lightforce 240's. Going to be fitting a body lift before its mounted though, does anyone know if they make mounts to suit body lift or has anyone one modified the mounts to suit? Have been told there is no xrox body lift mount option for it, so im going to have to modify something it looks like...
Once thats on some 33's will soon follow

        G'day G.T.

Was just wondering where you got your full length roof rack from and how much it was if you don't mind me asking.

Just ordering new gear for mine and am looking at some similar things.

        Cheers, REMO.

Love the rear window sticker! :-)
2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.

I think the rear door handle is fitted where the vehicle has the 2 extra rear seats installed ie the 7 seater. If you got a 5 seater with the cargo boot then they dont.

Nice truck btw, where do you order the xrox bar from please?
            Prado 95, not quite original!

7 seater... as in the ones that fold up against the window? Or ones that are permanently mounted on the floor? (If there is such a thing)

Yeah, the ones that fold up against the window - it allows the occupants to "get out" of the rear door rather than climbing over the seats

Nope. Mine has (or had) 8 (its 8 not 7 BTW guys) seats and no rear door handle on the inside. The only 5 seat 90 series sold in Oz in 1997 was the 2.7L RV.

They were trapped. [/joke] By sliding (not folding down) the middle row forward, which I don't think the split middle row 90s (ie after 2000) were able to do. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually you could be right...I am looking at 90 models now, with extra rear seats ...WITHOUT an interior rear door handle. WTF!

My 2002 50th anniversary is a 8 seater. The third row seats fold down and up to the windows like usual. The rear door has 2 handles; one for opening and one for pulling.
The middle row seats are split 60/40 or so. The backs can fold down independantly, and the bases can also fold forward independantly.
Sliding action is limited to the front rows

Think this calls for an email to Toyota to ask their reasoning for this "no rear door handle on SOME" decision

I think any further discussion on door handles should go to another thread now as this is g.t's build up thread.
