So its been a little while since i have added anything to this thread, a couple reasons..
    1. Super busy at work
    2. family emergency
    3. have not really done much more with the extra's/mods
4 Wrote the Prado off in November in a 6 car crash.

Im pretty bummed that i dont get to finish off my project, i had so much more i wanted to do.

On the plus side everyone was ok and cars can be replaced. I guess i better share the story.

Nov 9th traveling home from work (wife came to pick me up), currently in Karratha there are huge road upgrades going on along the main highway to Dampier which is a pain in the morning and afternoon with thousands of people making there way to and from work.
We had just made it to the 7 Mile bridge when my wife had to pull the car up quick as the vehicles in front of us had all come to a stop real quick. thankfully ABS is AWESOME and we were able to stop and with room to spare, just as i turned to my partner and about to say how much i love ABS we got slammed into and sent into the vehicles infront, shortly after the first hit we went through it all again.

I quickly turned back to my wife and made sure she was ok and then checked on the kids, my 20mth old daughter a little shaken and upset but other wise ok, my 4yr old son had a nice mark on his fore head where he had impacted with the DVD player headrest.

Tried to open my door but the front quarter panel had been pushed back and it would not open so i forced it with my legs and went to check on the guys behind us and did i get a shock when i seen there car. Once again thankfully for safety features like air bags the guys were a bit bruised and shaken but no broken bones or bleeding.

a good thing about a crash near road works, with in minutes there were guys with traffic management signs keeping everyone else moving.

the fire brigade, several ambo's and the boys in blue all rocked up to make sure everyone was alright.

Was the biggest accident iv been involved in and i hope its the last. scary as hell.

I spoke with the police a few days later, they called to make sure my wife and son were ok. they mentioned that the driver of the car that hit us did not have time to brake and was still traveling at about 50km/h on impact.
Keeping in mind the speed we were hit, take note of how well the Kaymar Tyre carrier still looks. i would not want to use those rims ever again but am impressed how well it held together, as for the front end well cars these days are designed to crumple and thats pretty much what it did.

i dont think the photo's do it much justice but the only 2 undamaged panels on my car were the 2 rear doors after it all. est $37k for replacement parts and repair + 10% for anything the discover during that process and with a market value of only $55k they were not keen on fixing it and im not either. when i went to the smash yard to retrieve some items from the Prado i opened up the glove box and when i went to close it the thing would not latch back into place, enough impact to warp the dash. things like that would p!$$ me off in the future if it was fixed.

On thing that did annoy me is there are 5 brand new BF Goodie's which i had only a couple weeks before had fitted
