So does the dash need to be removed in order to remove the center console? I'm thinking of replacing my Icom IC440 with an 80ch unit. I'm pretty sure the Icom is currently mounted under the console as the lead for the mike plug comes out from under there.

You have to remove the lower section where the 4WD Selector is and the side silver panels and the other side panels from memory. Without the car in front of me I'm not 100% but I'll be pulling it apart this weekend so can take some photos.

The re wiring allows the link button to manually activate the solenoid so that you can start off the 2nd battery if required.

Then installed the battery monitor is a suitable position.

            Brains,
I have decided on one of these as well. Were the rewiring instructions with the unit?
I am changing my dual battery setup at the moment. Also I like how you have run those circuit breakers for the rear power runs.
Have to catch up for a look see when your free.
            cheers

              Robert,

Here is the link for the rewiring instructions
              http://www.mediafire.com/file/560js0...0the%20ABR.pdf

I wanted the ability to be able to turn the feed off to the back cargo area and the exterior Anderson so that is why I went with the breakers.

And yeah have to catch up, just need to organise 10 day week so I can fit everything in.

              Paul

                Thanks Paul,
                Perfect, will get one ordered.
Yeah I already run a 60 amp breaker that feeds to the back power run and I can also cut off all power to the back , But I am planning a second dedicated run to the back for the inverter and looking for some smaller breaker options.
I just do all my outstanding jobs on "Wonday", that's right after Sunday and before Monday....

                Cheers

There's my problem I keep missing "Wonday". Just looking ahead to the weekend and I've got cricket Saturday morning with the eldest and then Football Sunday morning with both boys playing at the same time in two different locations I'm going to have my work cut out for me.

                    Paul
Aside from re-soldering the internal wires on the monitor to make it +ve link, did you install a relay between the blue wire from the monitor and the blue wire of the SBi112 that was fused back to the ignition as per their docs?

                    Cheers

                    • Did you remember to take any pics while pulling the dash apart Paul? I've ordered a Uniden UH7760NB UHF to replace my Icom unit so will be needing to pull the console apart myself soon.
