Paul two really dumb questions coming up. What's the green icon above the hazard switch and does the bottom radio now do nothing? If the hole is single DIN is this a place to mount a UHF radio? Yes I haven't been through ALL the 150 series posts yet ok.

For my Dual Battery setup I used one of Derek (ABR SIDEWINDER) dual battery monitor. As I have the Redarc SBi12 I had to modify and rewire the monitor as per Derek's instructions. The re wiring allows the link button to manually activate the solenoid so that you can start off the 2nd battery if required.

Then installed the battery monitor is a suitable position.

So with the replacement head unit and dual battery monitor it looks like this.

You can store them on their side ok but regardless of which way they are stored be sure to give them a good shake up before you use them as the powder will pack down. If you don't you will get a lot of gas and no powder. Even better idea is to "take them out and shake it all about" on a regular basis. I have just removed the one I had in the 120 after about a year since last time and I think it is stuffed. No amount of shaking could loosen the powder last night.

Hutch, from memory I got the fire extinguisher from Bursons auto parts.

The details are "Super Fire-X" stored pressure aerosol Fire extinguisher. AB (E) Dry Powder, 500 grams net.

Details are available on the manufacturer's website

    www.firexinfo

    It was around $20.

I see what looks like identical extinguisher (except for the name and price) on ebay under the name "Flame Out" ....for twice the price. $$

I'll certainly post a picture of the extinguisher shortly...I'm sure others have done much better with mounting their extinguishers, in locations that are quicker to access, but so far it seems to suit my set up. I used to keep a first aid kit in the rear door hatch, but struggled with where to put the extingusher without it being in the way of something. The extinguisher is half a kg, (500grams) aerosol type, Australian made dry powder extinguisher. Its diameter is such that it fits within the rear door hatch, and there is still some room left over. It may not be big enough to extinguish much of a fire, so I also carry a fire blanket for what its worth.

It is definately a nice compact unit. Fits nicely. And like you said not going to put out a massive fire but hany to have on hand for anything small.

    Brogers,

Great to hear that you're happy with the TG150.

The Tektables look great, I installed Drifta drawers in my rig so can't get a Trektable in. Although the Drifta drawers come with a pull out table that you can pull out halfway and use as a bench or pull the whole thing out and unfold the legs and use as a freestanding table.

I also did all my interior lights I think it cost about $15.00 and that was ordering some spares. It certainly illuminates the cabin much better now.

The LED I have on the back door is a touch switch strip LED that looks more like a little fluro light as it has a opaque cover that disperses the light. It is distributed to stores by 1Solar at Brendale. http://1solarled.com.au/

This is the particular one at 600mm long.
    http://1solarled.com.au/index.php?op...&product_id=77

I got mine through Richo but came from these guys.

I have also seen them on eBay search under
12V Touch Switch LED Strip Light Cool White Caravan/Truck/Cabinet/Camping Lamp
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-Touch...ht_8332wt_1180

I ran power from where my cables from my dual battery come to the back for the fridge etc. I then had to run it through the rubber tubing to the rear door and up to the top of the back door where I also installed a overide switch for the light. This LED only draws 0.6A.

And it does give off a fair amount of light. This is us on Moreton in the pitch black. I also had a LED strip light under the awning.

I'd love to see a photo of the fire extinguisher to see how big it is.

PM me if you need anymore details or any photos emailed.

    Paul

    Hello again Brains,

The Transmission guard is still going well and doing its job thanks once again.

I have added a TREKTABLE to my rear door, and we have used it many times already, and it also protects the rear door lining from knocks and damage etc.

I have just recently replaced the interior light bulbs and door light bulbs with LEDs ( I got a set of LEDs from THE LED LAD, only because I didn't know what was what about LEDs, but wow, its so much brighter inside ...which I like because my eyesight is not what it used to be, and better lighting at night is helpful, but also I have reduced my battery load if I leave the lights on for a long time).

Now I want to do exactly what you have done with a light bar on the rear door for extra light in the rear area and over the TREKTABLE.

Would you be so kind as to let me know what LED light bar you used, or where I can get one the same perhaps, because when you start looking there are so many LED light bars, at a range of prices, and if you have used one and its ok, then thats a good reference as far as I am concerned.

I am also interested to know how/where you got power from to the LED bar.
Thanks so much for your posts to date and the information you share.

PS, and just an aside, I have mounted a long, thin DCP extinguisher in the rear door hatch, restrained by the two little straps I can see in your photo. It may not be the best location or the most accessible place mount an extinguisher, especially given that its now behind the TREKTABLE as well, but its tricky to get a spot in the car for the extinguisher thats not in the way of something else. I think I got the extinguisher from Bursons automotive , I've not seen one like it elsewhere, but it fits quite well, and the plastic hatch still fits on over the top..anyway, thats what I have done with that little spot.

We don't cook on the TREKTABLE itself, I think its a bit risky having a cooker that close to the car, but we cook nearby and use the trektable for food prep and serving etc.

... all I need is to illuminate the area a little better perhaps....let there be light

Had a bit more to do with the Dual battery install, I initially had installed a merit socket for the fridge but later installed an Anderson Plug.

I also installed a rear LED strip touch light on the rear door. Thanks to Richosen for supplying the light for this project. The LED light has an aluminium strip on the back which I was able to slightly bend to match the profile of the plastic trim.

Well we went into production and made the first 30 as we had initially decided to make it for just our two vehicles but when a few of the other members found out then we had a few orders hence the CAD designing and proper laser cutting etc.

The first pickup from the Powder Coaters

    And Installed.

Now theres lot of you guys out there that have a TG150.

Thankyou for all your support and positive comments.

Well I might spend some more time getting stuck into my own Build of the Prado as I have a few items to catch up on as well as a few things on the cards prior to our Cape York trip this year.

As many of you know there is an exposed Actuator on the 150's and top speced 120's. When the car was up on the hoist at TJM one day some mates and I were under checking some stuff out (possibility of a water tank and air tank fit) and noticed the exposed actuator.

    The exposed actuator

We then spent some dollars designing and getting CAD done on a guard to protect this actuator as well as the transfer case. Some 10 or so prototypes, about 6 redraws and redesigns later we started to make the TG150

    The first prototype

Some CAD design around the middle stages
