      • G'day Damien,

Yes it was me on the overpass - nice to see a fellow Pradopointer on the road.

It was nice of you to wave. I was wondering if you may have been someone I knew and I was just being absent-minded.

Yes, I'm really pleased with the way the car has turned out - it has cost a boatload of money and a heap of time thinking about it all. But that's the fun of it.

        • As soon as i saw you, i thought to my self theres only a few prado's out there like that and drove off up the road thinking " i wonder if that was Gman??"

          So there you go!

Nice to almost meet you in person

We should organise another meet up out at the watagan's or up on the beach towards the end of the month when the days are a little longer and the guys are back from their trips.

          • Very perceptive of you to notice, Damien.

How did you ever manage to remember my car? Nice work

            • I am blessed and cursed with a knack for remembering things where others would simply not.

My wife thinks its mainly girls...

                    • Hi Rob

The price was $2700 which included the colour coding and about $350 for fitting. I also had to get heavy duty rear springs for the extra weight.

                      Regards Wade

Are you happy with the EvaKool fridge? I used to sell the SupaKool versions years ago - great insulation - totally crap compressor. I see they now use a Danfoss compressor. How much did they charge you for the fridge?

                            Hi Drew,
The evakool is about 4 yrs old, has operated faultlessly in that time, it is always in vehicle and operating
Cant remember what i paid, but it would have been too much

It is a danfoss compressor, overall it is a good solid unit with excellent insulation properties
                            Cheers

                              • Danfoss is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of HVAC+R equipment in the world. They also own one of the worlds most advanced compressor manufacturers Turbocor - These compressors are unreal, completely oil less and use electromagnetic bearings to hold the compressor shaft in position. Spin up to 32000 rpm at less than 80 DbA. Simply amazing machines, but back on topic.

I remember looking at one of these EVAKOOL fridges when a mate at work was looking for a new fridge. I liked the fact that everything was easy to access should anything break or require adjustment from a Fridgy's perspective of course.

I have been thinking of trying to obtain a repairers licence or certification from Waeco and engle so i can do repairs from home on the weekends, as most places that do this sort of work often charge through the nose for the smallest of repairs.

But i know of a few people with the EVAKOOL's now and everyone has not had a bad thing to say about them.
