I'm more concerned with the rough stuff... too much height has seen two of my previous club members roll over in the same spot on the same day.. one was a 40 series that had done the leaf over conversion and was ridiculously high, the other was a GQ with 6 inch lift, just toppled on to its side.Phil

agreed.. if you go much more than 30-40mm at the front (after it settles) you are changing the front suspension geometry too much. You arnt benifiting much from it either, as you are limiting the downward travel of the front suspension.Originally posted by Pradogxlv6Fair enough.. Most prado's will not go higher than 2 inches, so I reckon we will live to fight another day :!: Going to 6 inches lift in any vehicle is asking for trouble. My mate had a 4 inch suspension/2 inch body lifted 80 series and it's scary on road and off :!: :!: :!:2004 GXL V6 5 speed auto. Was that on the advanced 4x4 training course??
Two mates from work were on that course, Lee with the Mazda Bravo and Andrew with the charcoal 80.
Nice looking 120
How do you find the Hydraulic Winch???
Oh yeah, keep an eye out for some day trips, we really gotta start getting out more often. Keep those bloody sandgropers honest. :lol:2003 V6 GXL, Mickey Thompson MTZ's, Safari Snorkel, ARB Winch Bar, OME Suspension 2" lift, GME TX3420

Hi all, this is the wife's car, ok I know what your thinking. Trust me id rather be driving it too offroad, although it needs some lift in the front end.

My car is the Vitara, its got heaps more clearence and I know its limits. Something I hav'nt worked out in the Prado. But the Prado tows the Cub camper heaps better.

Ok I know this is a Prado forum so heres what is got, 100l LPG tank, cargo barrier, dual batteries, hi-lift jack suitable steel side steps, factory alloy bull bar, OME shocks allround but needs a coil spring upgrade, dark tinted windows, roof racks and BFG All-Terrains are its boots. This Prado has a range of 1380klms off the 3 tanks.

97 Vitara 1.6 JX Day Tripper(550klms range), 98 Prado V6 LPG GXL for Touring (1400klms range), Offroad Cub Camper for Overnight.
