Yea, after speaking with even more suppliers of that original one, I was even less confident that It was rated to 1000a continuous. I took the beast out to cape palmy yesterday and as a precaution I removed the isolator and just put a bolt through the two lugs and elect taped it, I just couldn't trust that it wouldn't clap out when I needed it most

Which ones are those ones? They've done heaps of work, and u can now get right to the beach access in any 2wd car........ Couple of good washouts on the way up to the actual cape and to Clark bay. But nothing that was really testing tho. Good day out and the missus got some ok flex shots,

            • Ah. Been a wile since I was there. All different no doubt. Used to be an option to drive around the beach or go on a track. There were two creek crossings, one a lot bigger than the other. The big daintree was usually badly chopped up.

              • Yea the inland track is completely closed now, did go down it about 12 months ago. Wholly crap she was boggy I dare say that's the one your talking about, I got hung up on a log and needed to be snatched off. Haven't been down since tho. Super overgrown now

                • We had an interesting time on the inland track. Ruts so deep you could lie in them while a 4wd drove over you, without touching any part of your body. Smashed up side steps on all vehicles. Shifty point still exists?

                  • Yea it would still be the same,, that black mud is just a killer, mozzies so thick! I've found a pic of when I got snatched out showing how deep the water was as some points. Bloody lucky none came in the car actually haha! And this was before I had the lift put in

Not sure about shifty point,, a couple of the locals might know tho

                    • Over Easter was able to get all the new gear dirty and do a good shakeout on what I will need for the longer trips, we stayed 5 days fully self sufficient. Was magic waking up in the beach each morning

Love the new awning, so easy to set up. ARB did originally give me the wrong one, but once were more than happy to exchange it for the correct one after I realized, even tho I had had it sitting on the car for over two weeks!

                          • Well I had to drop into ARB today to drop off the first awnings pegs etc that I forgot to return when I changed awnings. Whist there I had another look at the ARB fridges..... Well I finally bit the bullet and purchased an 78l ARB fridge, got the insulated bag and tie down straps thrown in, I also brought a msa platinum drop slide as I'm vertically challenged. Lastly I also brought a outback accessories cargo barrier. Everything bar my fridge and tie downs were out of stock but should hopefully be here in a couple of weeks.

The new fridge very happy with it, now to decide what I will do with running it in the car, can't afford to install a dual battery set up just yet.

                            • That's a big fridge Ghost! Have you checked it will fit in the back once the fridge slide is in place? At a minimum you'll want to install a dedicated socket for the fridge even if you hook that up to the starter battery. The factory ciggy plugs use pretty light wiring and only stay on while the ignition is on (at least the ones in the 150 do that, assume the 120s are the same).

she's a big fridge for sure fido, yea mackayvx has an 78lt in the back of his prado, it's a squeezy but does fit in, the reason I opted for this size is the its no longer or wider than the 60 just higher. Was blown away with how well it cooled down. 20 mins was down from 21deg to 3deg. Yea the rear cig lighters turn off with the ignition. Been quoted 2k for a dual batt install! Might do it myself
