Yea, it's a hard choice, those Toyota genuine steelies are bloody tough units. I really like the procomp 7005's but they are asking $330 a rim

There's no difference in weight between alloys and steelies. The alloys are much thicker and therefore, become roughly the same weight.Originally posted by fido666 View PostAlloys do get marked and dinged out on the tracks though, much harder to fix than a steelie especially painted ones. But yes, all that weight hanging off the back of the vehicle would place extra load on the suspension and alloys would be lighter.

Andrew is right as usual! I weighed the Phoenix alloys and steelies off the 120 and they were within 1 kg of each other. I think the standard GXL+ wheels were a touch lighter than this but nothing to justify alloys over steel on the basis of weight. Hmmm that is a dumb statement, ok nothing to justify aluminium alloy over iron alloy. I am not sure if some of the aftermarket alloys are lighter though. The forged alloys on my GTS are nearly 10kg lighter than the factory cast wheels that are available. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Finished installing my new drawers this morning, and found out the carpet I chose to make my rear table 12 months ago is a perfect match to the drawers

The weight difference that we know off only compares the Toyota rims. The aftermarket alloys may indeed be lighter. I should have clarified that in my earlier post.Originally posted by Ghost View PostWell there ya go, honestly thought there would be.... Yea they were madkore, with the seats locked in place you do still have a little room behind the second row seats, they don't sit hard up against themOriginally posted by Madkore View PostAre they the ones you picked up from the For Sale section?
