      iPad mounting

Jury still out on how much movement/vibration there will be off road but so far looks good.

Mounts directly onto the seat bolt on passenger side

      Hi Ursos

Great looking GX you have there!

Looking at your iPad set up and think you may be interested in my mount. Same concept however much sturdier for corragations and ruff roads. You could use a combo of the RAM and pole

Here is a link to my build and the tablet mount from my 120.

Thanks alexr, I saw your build up a while back and like your mount - nice piece of work. The only thing I could find that was remotely like it was RAM Mount. Did you build it yourself?

Yes, I designed and then had it built by a bloke in Alexandra, Vic. If interested I could have mine copied, don't no bout price but close to $300 probobly. I also have another design for my work vehicle that is easily removed.

It uses sheet alloy folded and Velcro to attach it across the top of the air vents and top of the climate control.

It has been rubber coated to not rub using a can of rubber dip. I will try and get a photo to show you.

Awesome looking rig uros! I notice the side steps taper downwards at the rear, any reason for this? Does it follow the body line?

Thanks Madkore - it's coming along. Just need time to get it out on the tracks. The side steps do taper because they follow the body line. Gives it extra clearance in the middle while still protecting the rear door sills.

The wheels are great so far. I've had these on the car since delivery so can't say if there's a difference but I think the offset is only 5mm difference. When I discussed options with 2 tyre/wheel suppliers, before ordering the wheels and tyres, both said it would not affect anything in wheel dynamics especially given the change from skinny stock wheels on GX anyway.

Hi Schniff, it does vibrate but not so much that it's distracting. Shouldn't be looking at it while driving anyway! I'm happy so far but I have not done any long offroad drives on corrugations - that will be the ultimate test.
