I did my rear diff breather the other day and ran it up into the same spot.
Matt can you tell me if you have any special way of removing the clips from the inner rear tyre guard?
The ones I am talking about are the Square ones with the "push in" tab's on the actually corners.
I could not find any easy way to get them off beside trying to get some pliers behind the mudguard and try and access the tabs.
Looks like their is a hole at the front that you may be able to push something into to intern move the tabs in...
Know what I am talking about?
Will get a photo in the next few days to make it clearer...
Sure do Bernie. They are standard Toyota square plugs and they suck. You are spot on with the pliers trick to remove them from the holes. I cheated and just removed the bottom one like this..
To relocate my breather, I got my daughter to hold the plastic guard out of the way and I reached up and attached the new hose and modified breather set up. It's amazing where I can fit my hands on this new Prado.. I do enjoy a challenge

Good stuff, nice tidy work. Just a word of caution. Make sure you secure that to the breathers to the fuel filler neck make sure you secure them nice and tight.
Otherwise you might make the same mistake as me and make several trips into you toyota dealership demanding that they "fix that annoying rattle coming from somewhere in behind the back seats, this is unacceptable in a new car!!".
then completely redfacepalm when they tell me that its been caused by the two breathers rattling against the fuel filler neckops: .

Had annoying noise from the drivers side A-pillar while driving to work in the mornings. But on the way home in the afternoon, the Ouse would be gone ? I managed to work out the sub zero temps we have had was contributing to the noise.. It was where the bracket for the snorkel was attached to the A-pillar on the outside of the car, there was a squeaky noise when I rocked the snorkel body about.
That Arvo, when I got home i undid the two bolts that hold the snorkel too the body bracket. Then the next morning (again pretty cold about -2) I reset the bolts tight. Travelled to work, and noise all gone !

Went for a lap up into the Barringtons this arvo in search of snow... to no avail. Peaked at a few tracks and found some old points I had lost from my GPS..
Well the truck is going great. Even with a 250km return trip up into the Barringtons the other weekend. Averaging about 55kmph, which is start stop too and from work. Here's a couple of happy snaps..

I have had enough of the rattle in the passenger seat. I called into my dealer and he went for a lap and conceeded it was noisy. The seat is out for repairs and I am driving about with no seat.

Are they going to reset your airbag warning light when you drop the car back in? Normally when you start a car with a seat removed the SRS system is disabled?
