Led light to awning completed

I finished off the wiring to my awning today and now all you have to do is plug it in and turn it on inside the cargo area. This is wired back into the fuse box that is powered by my second battery.

Fitting recovery hooks part 1

Got a pair of Boss hooks from FNB4WD in Adelaide off fleabay. I had a good read thru all the installs on Pradopoint and basically they are all on the money. It took me a few hours, as I took the front wheels off and made some mods to some wiring while the front bar wing plates were removed for the job.

Left hook fitted with no issues


Right side needs the washer bottle trimmed up

So what did you end up doing Matt? I recall reading in another thread that the bottom shroud could be unclipped where it attaches to the base of the bottle allowing the bottle to be moved over a bit.

See below pic, I just removed the cover and trimmed it up with my side cutters.. All good !

Good work young man. When I got mine back the bottle shroud was unclipped because of the interference but with a few special words and some brute force over ignorance it fitted up fine. Fido any news on your recovery points? A little birdie tells me the modified points are now in production.

Not to hijack Matt's thread but the modified points have now passed destruction testing at long last. I'm still waiting for a production version. I'm told they're not too far away though as the factory have been advised to start production.

Matt, the ones I'm talking about are the Roadsafe ones which I had issues fitting. The Boss ones you have seem to be identical to the Outback Ideas ones, I'm guessing I would have had the same issues though as the mounting points look the same.

Decided to relocate my Gensis lights further back in the ARB bar. Took a picy after I did the drivers side first, for a
comparison of the two different holes.. Happy now both are done.

Was talkin to Samo this arvo and remembered that Genisis mounts are reversible..

Had another try and got them right back behind the iron !

Looks good Matt, gives them a lot more protection from damage. Hope you got some anti theft nuts on them to stop the low life scum from thinking they belong to them......cheers Steve

Picked up a small LED light off eBay the other night. If its any good, might use on front bar. If not, I have a big new reverse light ! Sorted out wiring ready to install Led strip light on back door, over the weekend sometime.
