Gave the Prado a good wash and clean up this arvo. Hope to give the duco a polish up next weekend..

Came up ok.

The tin lids want to take their pushies up to straddie, so I started hunting for some steel out on the farm today. I removed the jerry can holder from the front of the drawer bar and started knocking up the basic frame today. I will be bracing it and padding the upright t-bar to ensure nothing rubs.


Gonna mount it in here..



The biggest bike and baby bike will happily go together..



Basic frame design..



Will have to buy some longer u-bolts to attach this to the drawer bar frame, that's the easy part !

Been tinkering about on the farm this arvo. No nice flat work benches here.. Just 'rough enough' stick welding and squaring up by eye. Coming together ok. Will complete welding tomorrow and test fit. Then paint time

Well it's sorted. Just in final paint now and hope to fit it to the camper this week.

Just bumped the Steinbauer back up to position 4 and bloody hell does she haul !

For those with a 150 diesel, change the rear muffler, fit a Steinbauer and a throttle control module and hang on....

Been busy testing out the electrics on the camper, testing the pushie carrier and adjusting the wheel bearings. Tomorrow we strip out the camper and start packing it for the trip. Bring on next Sunday morning !!

Engine oil and filter changed at around 3000km since last service. I was going to hit the 5000km mark while I was away, so just did it early. I was rewarded with a nice oil mess to clean up, as I dropped the oil still hot and it splashed up and made a bloody mess. Checked water level in both batteries and adjusted. 'Borrowed' my dads 40 litre Engel (haven't go a phone call yet, but I'm expecting one !) and generally checked everything under the car and under the bonnet.

Worked out how to lash down Samo's gazebo onto the top of my camper tool box and have nearly got it packed. Just need to load test camper batteries and sort them out before we go to Stradbroke.
