He Matt,
With respect to the Anderson Plug on the battery, is that for solar charging?

And if so, does the solar panel bring the battery voltage up enough for the dual battery isolator to close and charge both batteries? (I presume you have dual batteries...)

Well this week might be the week. It's looking good for funds to do the exhaust upgrade ( I hope ). Looking seriously at two set ups and can't decide. I have a Steinbauer and know its needing a bigger pipe to push out the gases. Both systems have what I want, good dump pipe plus EGT port fittings for a EGT pyrogauge set up. I hear 2.75in is to small, then I read its perfect, then the same stories with 3 inch systems ???

I want it to last, no banging about under the car, my suspension is lifted quite well, so there is clearance..

What do people with modified exhausts reckon ?

1. Beaudesert 2.75inch mild steel

2. Roo Systems 3inch 409 stainless steel

I don't have one but all the research I have done suggests Beaudesert.

Thinking 2.75 inch Beaudesert mild steel system with ceramic coated dump pipe. $1265 plus $110 freight to my place... There pipes are aluminised steel apparently...

Hi Matt,

I had a Beaudesert exhaust on my last Prado for about 4 years, had no issues with it. Getting one nut of the original turbo pipe is another story......

Going through the same decision process myself at the moment and Beaudesert are high on my list. Realistically, the 3" pipe may be a little better at full throttle but I rarely get there.

Grabbed some Penetr8 from Repco. Hope the stuff works on the nuts on my exhaust, bloody $30 a can !
