What made you go with Beaudesert Matt?

In my reading of 2.75 v 3, I have read that 2.75 is good for unmodified engines, whereas 3 is for engines that have been chipped. Do those you bought the Steinbauer off have any suggestions?

I spent some time under the Prado with my tape measure and noted all the clearances between the stock exhaust and the underside of the body. I couldn't see how a three inch wouldn't bang about up over the axle as there is not much clearance. That plus wanting to maintain some form of back pressure in the system pointed me towards the Beaudesert. I spoke to Diesel care in Brisbane about their experiences of 150's with Steinbauers on the dyno and they pointed me towards the 2.75 inch for torque and drivability.

Finally Callo convinced me to go Beaudesert after his experiences with the system on his Prado.

I hope it goes together better than my front end loader. No subframe bolts, wrong hydraulic fittings. Subframe holes several mm out so had to re-drill. And then no wiring for the solenoid valve. Ah well I can work it out. Shouldn't have to though.

Did a 5000km oil and filter change today. Running sweet now it's full of fresh Castrol Magnatec and a new Toyota filter. Had a winner at supercheap auto when I took my aux battery back for a warranty claim. They tested it and accepted it had a faulty cell. When I went to swap it for the same battery, they only had on a little lower CCA rating, but higher amp hour rated. I paid the extra $9 for the different battery and scored another 24 month warranty ! Not a bad score..

Been busy under the Prado this arvo. I got a deep 12mm impact socket in the mail today, that I shortened with my angle grinder. Managed to get my socket and 3/8 breaker bar on the bottom two dump pipe nuts and thanks to the bucket loads of penetr8 I have been hitting them with; they both cracked and I can undo them by hand now. I can't quite get the socket on the top nut yet, I think once I jack the Prado up on stands and remove the drivers side front tyre, Samo will be able to get his girly arms in and crack the nut. My arms and hands are alittle large to fit in the space...
