Have had the chance to go for a couple of long (~600km) night drives over the last week, I have to say I LOVE these lights! I have a combo cover on the left light but am considering adding one to the right light as well. I think I will still be left with plenty of "spot" light, and have awesome lighting to the sides of the road. The one combo cover provides a lot of lighting out the side, but two might be even better.

On order, a set of AMTS bash plates, deciding on which transfer case guard to go for, ABR sidewinder dual battery setup + air compressor, EXTNIX touch screen DVD/sat nav system to replace factory sound and almost ready to pull the trigger on a roof rack/rooftop tent setup. Only things left then will be tyres, suspension, UHF, sliders, rear storage, fridge....... and on and on it goes

Great thread, have you decided on which setup you are going to run for the rootop tent and rack?

Tigerz11 is having a sale on a lot of their stuff, seemed like good value when I was looking earlier in the week. Their website is "down for maintenance" at the moment though so I've emailed them asking about price and availability of the tent, rack to suit, side awning and insect net for the awning.

Failing that, I'm unsure, Powerful 4x4 sell a rack on ebay, but it's twice the price that the Tigerz one was advertised for. There seems to be plenty of options around for the tent and awning.

          Cheers,
          Dave.

Your right about the different options, I have been looking at the Ironman as well, comes with the annex included. I have mate with the Ironman and he has had some issues with the roof rack itself where the front bar has bent up and back bar down. He is now looking at a sturdier setup.

            Cheers

Yeah, I've found another seller who has roof top tent that appears to be identical to the Tigerz one, for a similar price, I guess all these lesser branded tents probably come from the same place. So now it's just the roof rack that needs to be sorted. The Tigerz racks for the 150 are 3 months away apparently so I'm looking elsewhere. Waiting on a freight quote for the Powerful 4x4 one to see how much that blows the quote out by, might be just as cheap to get an ARB/TJM/Opposite Lock one fitted locally.

              Dave.

Ended up going with the Powerful 4X4 roof rack. It was about the same price as the ARB rack but the Powerful one has a mesh floor and tie down points whereas the ARB one doesn't. Also fitted up my Tigerz11 Awning, had a chance to roll it out today, quite happy with it for the price, just need to roll it out again and attach the screen walls and see how they go. I'm still waiting on one parcel with the annex and ladder for the roof top tent so I can fit it, then I need to work out how I'm going to take it all off when I don't need it.

Took her for drive to Mount Britton today, nothing too challenging, just a bit of slippery dirt road was the worst of it, but was an enjoyable drive through the hills.

I now have the roof top tent mounted and have given it its first run, (although the freight company seems to have 'misplaced' the annex, not too happy about that). Am happy with the setup so far.

                  Cheers,
                  Dave.

                    Nice work Dave.

Can you get the rear door open fully with the ladder down?

Thanks Madkore, I'm happy with how it's coming together so far. I can't open the rear door all the way without lifting the ladder up. I'm still waiting for the annex to turn up, I might have to move the tent further back on the rack yet once I see how the annex fits in with the car, which might make it easier to open the rear door right up.

Picked up a little bit of gold bling for the big girl today

Now to work out how I'm going to mount the thing before Easter weekend....

                      Cheers,
                      Dave.
