Rob,
Could you please do me a favour and take a measurement of the silver rings below the coil on your XGS gold front strut assembly. I am having some trouble achieving a good ride height out of the front end and this is the means to adjust the overall ride height. I have had them in and out three times and starting to get a bit sick of it all. Thankyou, Tony. PS I envi those mags, looks stonking in black.

Tony, mine r the HD struts with 20mm spacer, also I am petrol which is lighter than a diesel.

Thanks for that I appreciate the measurement figure. I will compare but at this stage the 15mm spacer (10+5) is'nt cutting it for me. Obviously the next step is 20mm and I am starting to get a feel for the end result. Basically double the ring measurement and that is what you get at the guards. Cheers Tony.
Edit......I just took the ruler to the rings to have a look and found that I have 30 mm of spacing installed not 15mm as above email. Sorry for if I have misled anyone. Tony.

Hutch,
I have just taken a measurement of the rings installed and I have a 10mm and the 20mm ring. 30mm in total. Not happy with the lift and will consider a different brand next time. Tried to do a TJM truck this time but man it has been hard work. Guard measurement has increased by 35mm over standard height after 3 months and wheel alignment. 45 mm in the rear.
Every other brand of suspension I have used just works. Install, align and drive. 2 inches is 2 inches, (thats what she said) If I pull this lot out that will be the 4th time it has been on the bench. No instructions are provided on setting in the kit. Nothing even from TJM. Oh "go and see the local blokes you bought if off". Well the local blokes that sold me the stuff don't know what to set it to either. The only bit of advise that I got worth its weight was that a minimum droop that is required when the weight is taken off the vehicle. ie you actually have movement in the down direction. Think from memory 60 mm minimum. Yeah 60 just checked. I still have over 90 to go so could lift a bit more yet quite comfortably. Cheers

Thats interesting Pearl mine sat around 795mm from bottom of rim to guard from day one and hasn't really moved. I had mine installed at TJM brendale along with the other gear and all good.

Wow, Late Friday night and we have hijacked a rig build up page, mmm yours, ah well what's the worst that can happen, I get deleted?
Thanks Rob, just got a beer and measured 780 mm in the same configuration as you. ahhhhhhh. I want it to end. Truck looks the goods, should never have taken a measurement before lifting. Now I know that I am not happy with the result again. I want this stuff to work as it actually travels along nicely. Feels smooth and controlled, good dampening, and rebound control, although fair bit of body roll compared to the utes (also heavier and higher SOG), although good grip out of the turns, which is new for me (all wheel drive and road tyres).
I'am going to work at this and get the result that I want. 2 inch lift. No prisoners. Hutch, did you actually measure the original height, rim to guard?
Cheers. Tony.

Pearl put in 2x20mm will bring u up another 20mm, 10 mm will equal 20 in height and u will around 800 sweet as.

I agree apart from the stuff around it is easy to get the lift where you will be happy. Other than the height is the ride what you are after? If yes then swap that spacer out like Hutch suggets. Sorry Hutch.

Thanks for that, went four wheeling today in low range for 6 hours and compared to my Hilux lift not happy. Will raise the height asap. As advised by Hutch I will pull apart again and give it another go. As for the ride I was impressed. Comfortable and quiet. A big thing for me is to see a rock or hole and hit it then I need instant feed back through the chassis. This was delivered nicely for me. Some 4WD's feel remote from this and personally I don't like it. Can even make the passengers sick.
Flex was good with traction in places where others where lacking. After going up one hill with out the centre diff lock engaged just low range, I had to reverse and hook up another vehicle and assist up the same hill. Diff lock in of course, he had all terrain tyres at 18 psi and we still have the Dunlop's OE.
Anyway once the ride height is sorted I will be happy with the XGS Gold gear I think.
Cheers, Tony

Pick up a set of LED indicators today and the boys at TJM Brendale wired a double socket under the dash for the phone charger and GPS, no loose wires hanging around the cabin all tucked away.
