    KTown 150 GXL Silver

    Hi all
    I ordered a Manual Turbo Diesel GXL in Silver on the 20/3/2012 and obviously still waiting for delivery..... but I have started spending money on it before it's got into the country. When I pick it up I will take a couple of pics then I will add some more pics once the gear goes on.
    Stuff fitted from the factory(not much)-Towbar, rubber matts front, middle and rear, headlight and bonnet protectors

    So far I have in my bedroom a set of Wetseat seat covers and a set of Lightforce Genesis HID spotties.

    I have put a deposit on the following:
    TJM T13 Bar in Black
    Dual Battery system with rear plug and in car monitor
    Airtec Snorkel
    2" XGS Lift kit
    Alpine roof mount DVD player for the kids

    Next on the list after I put a couple of ks on the vehicle is a roofrack of some description and an awning(not sure what to get yet but want something with a cage/basket)

    I have to fly down to pick it up then leave it with TJM for a week, then fly back to drive it back. Can't wait to actually get the thing or even get a closer delivery date than June/July sometime!!

      Hey Chivers, congrats! The wait is killing you Im sure - been there. Can I ask what made you decide to switch from the Patrol?

        Hey Monk
        Swithching from the Patrol due to its age, we have had it for the last 8 years and have had trouble free motoring with it but it's getting a bit long in the tooth.We do a bit of long distance driving and the old Patrol is missing some creature comforts that you get with the 150(eg Cruise Control) Have a lot of mates with Prados who rave about them so thought may as well get one. Also Nissan stopping the 4.2 Turbo Diesel engine meant I would have had to get a 3.0TD which I wouldn't have been happy with.

          Cheers, Chivers. Was interested to hear what someone switching to a Prado had to say about the Patrol...
          It was on the shortlist when I was looking, though not for long TBH - Seemed a bit too big, and wasn't keen on the fuel economy, or looks. You'll like the Prado for sure, especially with the mods *

            Cheers Monk. Spoke to the dealer today to see if there was any good news for me (its only been 2 months but they did say June/July) He told me that Toyota are experiencing delays.....WOW really??? thanks for that Einstein

              Alright I know this is quite a boring build up due to no photos and no physical vehicle yet, but just ordered a black Rhino Pioneers tray roof rack and a sunseeker mark 2 awning. I hope the vehicle comes soon because I am running out of money

                It's a long wait hey, mate the black rhino rack is a great choice, I just put one on my new Prado, silver, looks awesome see my build, and bloody useful! Good luck with the truck u will love it!!

                    Just got an email from the Dealer saying it arrives in the country on the 30th of June then ready 3 weeks later. Might work out good or bad seeing I will be in Perth for the 2nd week of July. Hopefully save me a flight or 2. Fingers crossed...

                        Finally after 3 months and 22 days I picked up the Prado on Friday, nice paint chip out of it which the dearlership said they will repair-not really good enough, not happy about it. Drives brilliantly and had the tint done today. Booked into TJM Wednesday for the lift kit,dual batts, snorkel,bullbar,HID spots, roof rack and awning, and the seat covers. DVD player on hold at the moment. Photos will go up when I can work out how to do it.
