Aeggward's 150 Altitude

I thought considering a lot of the ideas for my build came from forum members build posts I should create one myself for my build.

Picked up the Altitude a couple of weeks ago with tint on the front windows, paint and interior protection, towbar and carpet mats thrown in.



First thing I did was to change the GrandTreks for 265/65/R17 Mickey Thompson STZs.



Upgrades already done

- Mickey Thompson STZ
- T13 Bullbar (Black)
- Airtec Snorkel
- TJM 9500lbs winch with synthetic rope
- TJM Underbody Protection
- TJM XGS Gold 45mm lift
- Rhino Sportz Roof Rails
- Sandgrabba mats for front and rear seats
- Genuine Toyota Cargo mat
- ABR-Sidewinder HID driving lights
- Uniden UH7760NB UHF radio
- Uniden AT-870 Aerial

- ABR-Sidewinder PSV
- Uniden UH710SX-2NB Tradies Pack.
- TJM compressor
- TJM large recovery kit

- Dual battery kit

Awesome stuff Aeggwards..

The MT STZ are a great choice of tyre. They will be on my car soon!

Looking forward to seeing more pics as you add the goodies.. Nice colour choice too

Did you just tint your front windows or rear ones too? Did you get 35% grade or lower?

the rears come tinted from the factory now: they're calling it "privacy glass"

It is only coloring not UV protection at all to get that they put a clear UV film on the inside.

As Wooley said they were tinted from factory. I need to get UV protection put on. Co-op Toyota organised the front tint as part their protection package. I'd have to check what percentage they are.

You won't be disappointed, they are a great tyre. Bigger all road noise but heaps of grip. The lack of center rib takes a little bit of getting used to but doesn't worry me. Can't wait for the first chance to get them dirty!

As promised some pics of the new mods:

New aerial and ABR-Sidewinder lights - as I didn't think it would be too often I would driving a highway in Tas that I could see more than a kilometre in front of me I opted for two floods. They put out some light though and I can still see reflections from signs over 900m down the road.


ABR-Sidewinder Driving Lights switch - had to file the corners slightly as it was too big


Uniden UH7760NB remote handset - the bracket is stuck on with double sided tape as I didn't want to drill holes in the dash. The head unit is tucked away in the passenger side kickboard.


Plug for remote head unit - stuck to bottom of console with double sided tape to keep it secure.

Lucky me!

After spending a total of 10 hours over the last month recovering my brother from where he got himself stuck in quagmires I was looking seriously at buying some MaxTrax to make the recoveries easier.

I happened to mention this to my wife and woke up this morning to the below Fathers day present from my wife and kids:



I was gobsmacked, instead of just buying the one set that I was thinking of my family decided to buy me two!

Lucky me!
