I cant remember where i got the awning but i think it was ebay also. I picked all these items up from supplier which were in sydney area.
How are you finding the snorkel? I am looking at one from the same supplier mainly interested in quality of build, and fitment, any feedback would be appreciated

The snorkel went on easily the template matched exactly and no problems lining up the bolts after the holes were drilled. The plastic seems solid to me but i guess time will tell if it will crack in the future or not. The only thing i did differently was to seal up the pipe where it enters the air box but that was a bit of overkill as it fitted really snug anyway. For 125 bucks i cant complain about it at all

i suppose since this topic has been moved to my rig build up i better tell you a little about the truck. i got it as a standard truck 2 years ago from mosman. since then i have put an arb bull bar, 9000lbs winch, uniden cb, matson dual battery system with 100 amp battery in the rear. i built a draw system for the rear that houses recovery gear gas bottles campind gear etc. There is a waeco fridge on top of the draw system as well. It has a side awning which incorporates 12 volt led lights that run back to a switch panel in the rear and then to the dual battery. A compressor is also mounted in the rear along with a 700 watt inverter generator for times when i need to charge the battery when the car isnt moving for a while. This charges through a 5 phase 240 volt charger connected to the generator. Also iside i have a compartment that carriers 3 * 10 litre jerry cans for water. i also have made another rack off the back door to house another 10 litre jerry can which has a hand pump on it. on top i have a home made rack system which sits on 3 heavy duty trade roof racks. That then has bike carriers and bike wheel carriers along with a conduit for tent poles etc and a box which houses the chain saw and the fuel and oils that run that. Up front i have a hot water shower that runs on a johnson pump that sits in the engine bay and pumps through a bushranger heat exchanger. This also has an inline filter before the pump to stop dirt going into the pump with 2 quick connect fittings on the bull bar to plug shower head in one and the water source in the other. I have then mounted a keyed switch on the bull bar to turn shower on and off. You have seen the other bits the lights tyres snorkel and suspension and i will post some pics up soon of all the bits i have talked about. All in all great truck for camping or getting out on some good four wheel drive trips and one of the best cars i have own for reliabilty and ease to work on.

its been a while just thought id post back and let you know how the car an the gear is going. Everything is running like clockwork just got back from fraser and it all performed great, couldnt get bogged even if i tried to and all the ebay items are fantastic. Starting to look at a roof top tent for the top any thoughts on what is a good tent would be great

I've seen the Prado in that eBay pic before, IIRC that was a member from Holland's rig. Gotta love how they knock off pics from the net for their listings.
