  • Pauls 2012 prado gxl diesel manual rig build

Hey all, i finally purchased my dream and am doing it up.
So far 2 inch old man emu suspension lift, safari snorkel, and bought new cooper discovery at 50/50 on/off road.
I already backed truck into tree in camp site at flinders, its in panel shop now 3200 dollars damage.
As soon as it comes out its getting arb deluxe winch bull bar along with a warn winch, and 2 hid lights worth 900 bucks.
Today i ordered a brown Davis front underbody protection plate, for the truck.
I was wondering if anyone could help me will this brown davis underbody protection be compatible with the arb deluxe bullbar?
And will the brown davis front underbody be compatible with other brand transmission protection and trAnsfer case protection,
    Cheers will post pics soon

Our TG150 Transfer Case and Actuator Guaard will fit with all known underbody protection. I'm not sure how far back the front guard of a Browns Davis guard goes back. I know they were doing a transmission plate as well.
We currently have the TG150 available for immediate deliver.

I have all three Brown Davis plates. They are heavy...... But I would not go out without them. They have taken some big hits on my rig. If only doing light work or sand I would look at the ARB option due to the weight but if you are going to do anything like the Vic high country I think they are worth it. No issues with the ARB bar

I have just had a look at the transfer case cover that Brains is selling at it looks just as good if not better than the Brown Davis unit so have a look at that one as well.

I already ordered one front plate, i cant back out now, how heavy are they.
Would the arb transmission plate work with the brown davis front plate?
I do want to go to the high country eventually, what would extra weight mean, extra fuel?

I just ordered the whole set of brown davis underbody protection.
I told the 4 wd shop they made more than the front protection and they said no , they googled it and said that i was right

I didn't think brown davis covered the actuator on the transfer case, but i could be wrong.

I can't tell at the moment. Too much mud on mine.

You will be happy with the Brown Davis. Solid product. Where are you from? It was not showing on your profile.

Im from south australia, at mount barker, 38 km from adelaide up the south eastern freeway.
I know almost every network of dirt roads through the adelaide hills.
Im new to 4 wd ing but have always wanted one since i drove an old landrover army jeep in mintabie at 16, mintabies west of marla bore, cooper pedy wAy.
Anyhow i got an inheritance and spent the vast majority on my rig and its mods, thinking it will be a good investment for my lifes adventures and explorations, and so far it is.
It took me a year to decide what rig i was going to buy, and it was the prado, im glad i got it.
I basically bought it for holidays, touring, day outs in the mud, general funoff road.
Ive pushed it pretty hard and havent been let down yet, theres already scratches all over it.
I got it bogged up to top of wheel arches in a mud pit, luckily i got pulled out from tie down points, the tow truck driver had a good laugh, and doubted he could get it out, been to the flinders and a few good spots close by.
So i have a second little car for commuting, runabout, and garage the rig.
                            Peace
All i need now to complete the rig, well for now is the tjm steel side rails, steps.
Anyone know if they are good?

I have the TJM rails and steps. The steps are solid enough to jack from and the rails have prevented dented panels on a number of occasions. I also like the fact that the rails sit nice and close to the panels.
White 150 GX, TJM t13, TJM scrub bars steps, TJM underbelly protection, Kaymar rear bar, matt black speedy avalanches with mickey T ATZ' P3s, ARB BP 51 suspension, Heat exchange shower, Safari snorkel, on board air tank, custom rear drawers, wind cheeta rack, custom maxtrax mounts, in dash ozi explorer, cargo barrier and more!
