Fido thanks. I am having a cruisy trip. Normally I just rush it and do it in two and a half days. But this trip is going to have heaps of stops and things.
Am organising to meet a few PP's on the way. If I had more time I would have stayed for the ARB tour to meet a few of the Vic crew.

      Not sure....
If Santa put one under the christmas tree, I would NOT give it back :-D
Their is mounting points on the rear seats for three child seat things. Photo's below are taken with the seats folded up.

Yes but try getting little kids in and out of a 2 door, not so easy or practical.

Very true. Two door cars are never parent friendly.

At least you don't have to worry about them opening the doors on you!
I will still secretly pine for one - shhhhh ;-)

                    • The mirror is a domestic Japanese thing. You will see a few around on grey market imports and a few Paheros that were in all likelihood runouts with Japan spec.

As for your second question the shorties have never sold that well when you consider how close in price they are to a LWB. I know when I had a shorty retail was peanuts less than the LWB and it was only the fact that I was offered fleet discount on the SWB that we were able to justify it (not enough cash for either at full RRP). Loved my time with the shorty and it was brilliant on the sand. Lift was a bit iffy because we had to drop the gearbox to accomodate driveshafts but other than that it was brilliant.

And then the kids turned up. Still not sure where they came from. And they are still here!

I managed to trade the shorty for more than I paid for it 18 months earlier and bought a new one that had some back doors!
