Sol have you done much muddy driving with the shorty? Just wondering how the Pirellis cope since I have the same but haven't ventured into too much that is nasty. They are great for sand and hard packed fire trails including the lumpy stuff but I have my doubts about anything more.

Derek yep had to go scrub to find the mud. Was having fun.Originally posted by derek11 View Postbit of weed catching there Sol
Mjrandom, No the only mud has been on trails only a few inches deep with a solid base below. Although they are good tires I would not do any serious mud/boggy type work. Am considering going to BF Goodrich allterrains for the next set. Unless anyone comes up with a game changing deal.Originally posted by mjrandom View PostSol have you done much muddy driving with the shorty? Also a big thanks to AMTS for the bash plates. They copped a bit of a hammering and no gouging or marking. Great product.

Sol I am in a bit of a quandary too. I have 4 steel 120 GX rims with BFG A/Ts that I use on the trailer and had as an extra spare on the 120. Obviously not legal to run on the 150 so whether to get some legal steelies and fit play tyres and run ex Rodeo 16s on the trailer or just get more GXL rims and be done with it. I figure the Pirellis will clog up quickly in mud but I don't often do muddy trails. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

AMTS, Mate not yet. Started a full time job this week so hopefully will have the funds to get it done.Originally posted by amts View PostHave you powder coated the bashplates yet?
Thanks again for letting me take them. They really saved the sump.

Mate for me that would come down to two things. Finances can you afford two sets of wheels? do you do enough road KM's to justify a second set of tyres & wheels?Originally posted by mjrandom View PostSol I am in a bit of a quandary too.
