Nice pick up there Sol. They're a bloody expensive rear bar, amazing how it all adds up. You planning on putting in different coils? I found my handling quite bad after throwing on the rear bar and a lot of sag.

Vx, Mate thanks. Yes very expensive considering Kaymar will not make two door ones any more.
I will be getting a lift kit. Just waiting on the suspension company to come up with a suitable package. Also I keep changing what is fitted.

Hi SOL
Ive recently purcharsed a shorty and been reading through your build and geertpike1, which have had heaps of information in helping me setup mine so wanted to say thanks.
I have a question that you may be able to help out with, did you have any issues when fitting your Runva 11XP in regards to the location of the free spool clutch leaver, do you have it facing up so it can be accessed from the top of the bull bar, it seems that there is not a lot of room to get to it from there as it sits very close to the top of the bull bar and may be hard to turn.Last edited by 4bturbo; 05-09-2014, 10:28 PM.

4bturbo, Thanks mate. For the winch I rotated the clutch lever backwards then trimmed out some of the bumper bar below the grill so I can slip my hand through. Hope this helps. If you want more info let me know and I will get some photo's and send them your way.

Hi Sol,
I think you've got a great setup - just starting out here.
Can you tell me which roofrack is the one you got?
http://www.dolium.com.au/Retail_Cata...ndCheetah.html
I also have a 150 shorty and it needs to be the right size to look right like yours.
Thanks,
Simon

Thanks for answering. But I'm still confused. Are you saying that rack was custom made? Or its just a standard product for a different car that happens to fit the 3dr nicely?

Simon, Standard length but the roof rails and feet had to be tailored to suit. For more info you can call opposite lock Darwin. They would advise. The roof rails had to have a slight bend in them and a twist too I think.

Okay all. Been a while. You know busy with work and all that stuff. So I took the rear bumper off so I could test fit the Kaymar.
Not overly hard to remove every thing. The putting back together is not going to be fun. But below are some snaps on how it went.
It seams to fit nicely. I am going to take it in to Opposite lock to let them look and tell me I am missing things (brackets I think) and then get it sorted and painted. Few mods to be done to it hopefully I want to imbed in to the bar reversing lights.
Bumper off. found all the dirt.
Cleaned up a little and tow bar off.
Just sitting on the chassis. Looks okay.
Two bolts in. Wings look the right length.
Sitting good.
Cover on.

Looks like I might have to. The paint on the bar is good. I dropped it twice and did not chip it.
