Had the Safari Snorkel fitted and the tubing for the diff and transmission breathers ran up into the engine bay a couple of days ago. I like. Now there's no worry's crossing rivers!

Its been a busy month or so with the mods on MIKS4B!
Ive since had the front windows tinted to match the rear privacy glass. Managed to get the old oval alloy roof cage from the 120 fitted, along with the foxwing which i had to re drill the mounting brackets. Fitted AMTS rear wheel spacer, installed the HELLA Predator High Boost iX XGD driving lamps and have had the Redarc rear brake controller fitted and wired as well.
I'll post a few pics later, but she is coming along for the Anne Beadell trip in June.
Next on the list will be a drawer and fridge setup in the back, but not sure what brand or configuration as yet.....

What did the snorkel and install set you back? I had a look at the TJM Airtec a couple of days ago but not sure I like the top part, as others have said you can't turn the intake in really dusty conditions. That and I just think it looks wierd :-)Originally posted by weasal4x4 View PostComment

Off the top of my head i think it was $650 installed. I didn't like the look of the Airtec either. Initially with the window down i could hear a slight whistle when driving, but it was just the alignment of the snorkel head. Lights are awesome vxcruiser08. Shit all over the Rallye 4000's i had on the 120 even with the ebay xenon upgrade. I didn't pay that as i have a contact that works at Hella and can get anything at a considerabe discount!!

Yeah, just waiting for AMTS to get the 150 rear light bracket out into circulation, but also makes it easier to get the bin bag over and behind the rear wheel. Ah that is a great point. Took me so long to work out how to get the bloody bushranger bin bag on the first time. Ended up removing the whole wheel and playing around. Plenty of time wasted!
Can you posted up a pic from the rear and side on of how the wheel looks with the spacer please mate

Installed the Traxrax on Saturday. Will see how they go across the Anne Beadell in June, then might get the mounting accessories powder coated black to blend in with the rack when i get back.
