Small world lol. Yeah I guess a blown Senator is a little addictive. I will hopefully have a TRD blower on the Prado next year I'm going to have to settle on a blown V6.

Not all 17's will fit. BobTheMonkey tried to put GXL wheels on his VX and had issues. 17" FJ Cruiser wheels fit. Seems that reducing the positive offset is the key.

Ah yes, forgot about BobTheMonkey. Need to reduce the offset to clear the KDSS components and I think this only occurs at full lock.

Just stick with 18's and put a dirty big set of mudders on a spare set of 18's. My 18's have been fine for the off roading I have done they have taken me many places a Kakadu shouldn't be anyway and I can tell you there have been zero situations that I was let down simply because I have 18's instead of 17's....

Except maybe when handing over the dollars for 18's :-(
              Geoff

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

He's a Kakadu owner with more HSV's than Mark Scaife (one blown) so the extra $400 for a set or tyres is sitting in his ashtray lol.

Hi Mike. This must be where all LS1 folks go when they get old. My pending Prado delivery will compliment my Blown GTS which will be retired for weekend duties. They're a good thing... I ordered a '13 model so won't get it to the new year.

Yours looks great though. Keep up the good work

Haha well said. Now if I could just squeeze a LS3 between the hips of my Kakadu I will have the best of all worlds.

I saw some good looking mudders on eBay (mud hogs) I think they were called I started a thread on them on PP. 18" very cheap and for just 4x4 days and weekends would probably be spot on. Alternately I just put on some 275x65x18" cooper AT3's and can't rate them highly enough, smoother and quieter than stock LT construction have given more clearance and damn good off road.
