Hey Fiddo. Have you had a chance to change over that UHF? I bought the same unit from the same place was a relatively easy install. Should imagine it would be an easy swap over for you..... But then again nothing is ever easy.

Not as yet, had a bit too much on last weekend. I was waiting on Brains to provide some console removal pics which he has done in his build thread, should make the job easier.

Where and how did you mount the mike holder? My current Icom setup doesn't have one.

Some pics of the latest additions :-

Barajak and JPH removing the factory transfer case guard.

Me finishing off the TG150 install and having a bloody good stretch at the same time LOL.

On the hoist letting everyone have a good look at the rear airbags.

Winch in place, just waiting on the control box. Didn't attach the clevis hook, no point till the electrics are wired up.

No didn't go for the mic mount, mic lives in the glove box(out of mind out of sight when not in play) or in cup holder when I'm out playing. This suits the Chief Officer of the Fashion Police that I married cause its all about looks apparently?
As per one of the threads here, the mic plugs into one of the blank plates LH side above 2nd start button? that I modified to accept the RJ45 style fitting of the mic. If you want I can post a photo or link when I get home.

My mike connector is currently just mounted on the side of the console just in front of the driver's seat, will probably just do that again. No need for the link or pics thanks, have seen that arrangement in a few build threads now.

Mate, what a magnificent machine. Total brut on the outside and unparalleled luxury on the inside! Love the silver with the black bull bar and black wheels.
What's the black under the lights and around the grille etc? Have those panels been sprayed black?

Thanks for the compliment Roksy :-). Considering I live in Toorak Tractor territory I love the fact it looks a bit different than all the other Prados around here.

The black under the lights and around the grille is the plastic infills TJM use instead of cutting the bumper. Mine have been left unpainted, apparently they are a PITA to paint. The bar was fitted by (I think) the dealer I bought the Kaka from (previous owner had an ARB bar on it), if it were my choice I would have had the bumper cut. It's going in to the panel shop next week to repair the back bumper that some lowlife reversed into and left, must ask him about getting the infills painted as well.

The inserts are not easy to paint but it says more about the painter than the inserts. The paint is peeling off mine after a year and looked like sh!t when new. Needless to say I have not been back to the TJM dealer that had them painted and also did an average job of fitting.

Just make sure the painter knows what he is doing and they will be fine, all part of the learning experience.

There's some pretty specific instructions on how it should be done in the TJM Installation guide.

Definitely, just need to finish off the winch and springs. Of course I could just buy some spray on mud like I saw at a 4WD show once and fake it LOL. Have to say I'm a bit nervous about the bush pinstriping with the silver pearl paintwork, not the easiest thing to patch I'd imagine.

Yes, so am I. I'm sure some who followed my winch install thread thought it would never happen.

Great looking truck there and an awesome collection of helpers... Very impressed with both!
Many hands make light work as they say and considering I'd never met any of these guys in person before that day it was pretty humbling.

That's the beauty about Pradopoint, the first time I met any of the Vic Crew was on the way to the Otways trip in November last year. Sounded a bit odd at the time, so what are you doing this weekend... Well I'm going bush with 5 other blokes I've only every talked to on the Internet.... Hmmm awkward! But not even six months later I've made a heap of new friends that I can have a joke with and go camping and 4wding with.

There's so much info around, to help everyone. I'm glad we were able to assist with your tg150 and winch, now you just need to mount the control box and we'll organise a drive!

Another mod crossed off the list today thanks to #############, a set of Dobinsons KDSS specific springs fitted to the front. The part number for the springs used was C59-726, this model is for KDSS equipped 150s with 50-100KG or so of accessories up front (i.e. bullbar and winch).

                            http://www.dobinsonsprings.com/docs/...df/TOY-100.pdf

I haven't changed anything else at this stage because I wanted to retain the Toyota TEMS shocks. I've still managed to gain a 65mm lift however this is expected to settle back down over the next month or so.

                            Heights for the front before were 760mm (L) and 745mm (R), after they are 825mm (L) and 810mm (R).

Sorry #### can't recall what the rears came up to since the airbags self-levelling sensors took care of that.

Anthony had some fun with the KDSS specific bits of the suspension but I'll let him chime in with any technical details (assuming they aren't trade secrets LOL).

I'll get some progress pics up as soon as I can work out how to get them off my phone, were sent to me in an MMS message.
