Any photos of the lightbar in action? While I am running a cable up onto the roof for the solar panels I might as well run two...

Sure do, apologies for iPhone quality photos. I can try and take some tonight with my DSLR if i can work out the best settings

By the way, I am going to sell the 2 x 10" Aurora Single Row light bars (4900 lumens each) i purchased from here only last week >

Try something like 15 seconds and f8 on your DSLR and then vary it according to how that comes out. Thanks for the picture. I will fit up my driving lights in lieu of fogs this weekend and see how they fare before I go for the lightbar option. Looks really neat though.

Thanks for the tip will do!

Yep, they are two completely different lights really. Spotties are useless on windy dirt roads, lightbar is awesome. On the highway, very much the other way around.

I agree, I have enough light for the road but I want to light up the sides for track driving. The driving lights will be angled to the side to light up where the roos are hiding.

Keep in mind the 'combination beam' specifically on these aurora lights do not have a generous amount of light out to the sides in my opinion. I did read this same comment from the bloke that runs HID lights downunder - he also sells Aurora light bars and only does the flood beams now. Depends on your requirements really, I am happy with it as it is what it is = combo beam

As for being noticed as this is a concern for myself there are no specific laws on lights bars in NSW, I think being a 20" it's not as "in your face" as a big arse double row light bar most people are running plus these are the same amount of lumens if not more. But the bigger ones e.g. 40" aurora would have more flood out to the sides... which i am a little tempted to upgrade to later

My only concern about the light bar set up in the same place ( under the Pio platform), is the reflection off the polished hoop of my Sahara Bar. Yes the simple solution would be to paint or tape up the back of the bar to reduce the reflection, but most likely not an option with SWMBO...

With the camera settings, try ISO100, f8 and 4sec. Then vary the shutter speed until what you see matches what your eye sees.

If the lightbar is mounted back far enough, there will be minimal reflections on the bonnet and hopefully the tubes on the bar.

                            Thanks for the tips AMTS.

I did a trip on the weekend, it was awesome! Long Point NSW (which is only 5 kms from me) to Hill end, sofala and followed the Turon river to Capertee. Was a great trip!

Does anyone else find reverse in low range on the prado's so ridiculous? Did a few side tracks with some steep narly stuff... lost traction on a few 3/4 up and crapped myself as reverse reaches about 20kms/h in about 1 second!
