Well maybe I should see what the freight is worth, a few members have asked about sending drawers interstate, maybe I should do some more investigation.. Happy to do it if people want it.

How much ya reckon for a Timber fridge slide like yours ?

A hell of a lot less than a big name one! Just depends how far you want it to come out and weight loading. The ones in the photo are 600 mm and from memory about 50 kg rated. The heavier runners get a bit pricey and then lockable ones are dearer again. I'll have a muck around with an idea I have and get back to you.

Imagine the business trips I'd have to do... Simpson, Cape, CSR... Luckily I measured and designed a kitchen when we were on the Gold Coast, just opened this months fuel bill, a little higher than normal... Business trip, just had a week off after doing that job and caught up with some blokes I know on Fraser....

Did you just contact Autosafe direct for the custom cargo barrier? I need the same thing made up for my 120 with drawers. Oh and what did it cost?

D4D I dealt with James at Autosafe, it was very easy I took a photo of the rear of the wagon, added some dimensions and emailed him, about a week later I had a custom barrier. It cost me $495 inc gst, which I thought was extremely reasonable. The barrier bolts onto a bracket where the rear grab handle was and to the top of the drawers, very quick to fit and no drilling. Got to love it!

Even though they're not HiD, they make a heap of difference. Used them heaps when we went up the Newell, just made the night driving a bit more comfortable, always looking for hiding roos. The reflection off the road signs can be pretty glary, I reckon the hid glare would be blinding! Nearly done on the rig build for now! Then it'll be onto the next project....

Well it's been a while since I've updated the build, after a fun afternoon in the Otways the side steps finally said enough is enough..





So I decided to order some ARB steps, they finally came in last week so the apprentice and I had a go fitting them!

They come up nice and strong!

Can't complain about the quality.

I've also fitted some Narva 4 LED lights under the Pioneer platform, currently they just have a 12 v plug on them, just waiting for the switch to arrive, so I can finish hard wiring them. I also ordered some ARB under vehicle protection the other day while I was there. It should be here in time for the 110k service in a few weeks, much easier to bolt up while on the hoist. There is also a secondary diesel filter to be installed while we are at it. Not too much left to do on the rig, apart from a decent clean!

You did a good job on destroying those steps Josh! Mine aren't that bad yet but do look a bit beat up, have to make do as currently there's no option available to replace them.
