Do you think the thud is coming from the spring being fully compressed or the limit of the shocks travel?

No, hubby just went over the one near our house too quick. The ones in our street are mini ski jumps, you should hear normal sedans that go flying over them, WHACK then scrape of front bumper on bitumen.

Yeah, almost. Our street runs parallel to a main road so gets used as a short cut/race track a lot. The council put the big speed humps in to try and slow the buggers down, it doesn't though. The joys of living in the burbs LOL. That and roundabouts are the bane of driving in my area, the only thing I hate more are trams.

With the factory springs going over the same speed humps at any speed would produce a noticeable down then up bounce (aka wallowing), the new ones just feel firmer.

That is a much better price compared to the price for the Coopers I had. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what I can do

Sorry Bawky, could not get a trade on the dunlops until my last call today to Tyrepower. They were very helpful and gave me a trade on the Coopers and also beat the quote that I got for the Geolanders from Janes, so AT3s all-round.

I also got the windows tinted this afternoon and the guys at Tint-a-Car did a great job. I took some pics when I got home but it does not do it justice so I will take some better ones in the morning in the light.

Well today I changed the step lights to LED to match the internal lights and took some pics out in the sunlight

Are the side step lights factory on the Kaka?

Yeah, I have definitely stuck to the black theme lol. The puddle lights are factory on the kaka and possibly the VX as well. I swapped the globe for T10 wedge LEDs.

Surprisingly, all the overhead globes were T10 wedges as well as the number plate lights, door lights and puddle lights - made the job very easy.

That is very surprising. I though it was a design rule for car companies to use as many different parts as possible.

Haha, that is exactly what I was anticipating when I started the job. I bought 2 globes just to make sure that they fitted and as I checked the rest, I was pleasantly surprised.

The lighting manager at Toyota must of had a bad day lol
