Looks good Steve I have got my radio there too my left leg just goes above it. I would recomend the piranha dual batt system had it for 3 years with no dramas.

I received my seat covers from The Wetseat yesterday (not happy with Aus Post leaving them out the front) and fitted them last night. I am truly impressed with the fit on the rear seats however I think the front being a universal design lets them down a bit, hopefully with a bit of use they will stretch and fit to the form of the seat a bit better.

Cheers GB, it is a good spot there and fairly out of the way until I put my oversize travel mug in the cup holder. I just use the other side when that happens.

I have a CTek DCDC charger on the way. Actually gets fitted on Tuesday then I can finally use my UHF.

        Cheers,

        Steev

Sorry about the slow reply Matt. I hadn't noticed your post.

Here is the link to the website that I got the mic bracket from.

                P/N: SKU 654763

                http://www.holdmyphone.com.au/select...0_13#dashmount

They are pretty pricey at $48 but it saves drilling holes. I think postage was up there to, between $10 and $15.

I picked up the car from Opposite Lock this morning after the aux battery install. I now have power to the UHF and to a rear Anderson plug and where I will be installing a fuse box for fridge and lighting power.

This afternoon I got around to putting some heatshrink on the UHF aerial spring. No more annoying healight reflection for me or the Mrs.

What a great idea! Is it a durable solution? Just wondering how the heat shrink copes with the bouncing around.

It should be fairly durable MJ. I haven't driven it yet but it should be pretty good. I will let you know how it goes.

I've never really been bothered by reflections from my aerial spring but it's a good idea. What did you use to shrink the tubing? I've seen heat shrink guns at Bunnings for under $40 but they have about the same power output as my hairdryer which is 1500w.

I'm thinking plastidip might do the job also, not sure how well that flexes though.

That's another bonus I had read about reducing the wobbling. Since I have put my around town 150 aerial on top it wobbles a lot more.

I first tried with the better halfs hairdryer but that was uselss. I borrowed a heat gun from and cranked it up to 400ºC and that worked a treat. It is a digital Bosch one so I don't wanna know what it's worth.

MJ, so far the shrink wrap works a treat, no more glare off the spring and a great deal of the aerial wobble is gone. So it looks like a win so far. If it only lasts I'm happy because the shrink wrap was free and it only takes 10mins to change.

Ok guys, being that I am not very electrically minded I am after some advice.

I have 1 and I plan to get another GTI single LED flood light. I plan to mount these on the rear Rhino cross bar, what I would like to know is how do i wire them to come on with the reversing lights and still have a switch in the rear to use them as a camp lighting?
