Hi All,
Here's a few pics of my 07 GXL. It's not going to be a hard core build up or anything exciting, nonetheless I thought I'd share.

My stereo upgrade. 6.2 touch screen Philips (Bluetooth, DVD etc). DVDs play whilst the car is moving.

And this weekends fitment, my addition spotlight. I might be running the gauntlet here in terms of legality, but time will tell. A 70amp relay feeds all 3 lights.
I aim to change these to HID down the track.


I spent about 5 hours polishing the bulbar with a polishing kit, but within weeks its looks crap again. :-(

Over the last weekend I removed the front and rear tank covers to remove all the stones, bash the dents out and repaint them. The rear tank is steel, the front one is plastic. It was a good idea to remove the front cover because a few stones had collected between the tank and shield and have started to dig holes through the tank.

Also switched out the old 40 channel GME with a Icom IC-440N. I mounted the microphone hanger onto the 2 blank switches I have on the left side of the steering column. This way, I can simply replace the blanks if I dont like the holes.

Hi All,

I know have a 2in Ironman lift.
Just needs a camber adjustment now.

And bigger tyres to fill the wheel arches LOL. Since putting in my Dobinsons coils I'm now wishing I had kept my oversized BFGs, the 265/60/R18s look a bit small now.

I also replaced the assortment of different switches the previous owner had put in the switch panel. These are on ebay for around $20. One switches on my driving lights, the other, does the relay for my red arc dual battery system. All the switches seem to be of a light, so I used black tape to blank out the word 'light'. Looks far neater than before. I also wired them to illuminate when the headlights are on. I grabbed my power from the hazard light illumination.

Another recent upgrade, I upgraded my Lightforce's to HID. I used the ABR Sidewinder kits. They work great. Very cheap. And Derek has been great to deal with. Its definitely an overkill with lighting now, but it looks great and has unbelievable light output. Not sure about its legalities and the intercooler airflow though. Its winter at the moment, but in summer, I might be asking too much :-(

Other changes - I painted my wheel arches. I bought the stuff from SuperCheap Auto for $30 for 1 litre. Its a stone chip guard. The wheel arches were almost body white from all the dirt roads she's been on. Looks like a new car now underneath now.

Whilst I was getting parts for my motorbike, the spare parts counter had plastic conditioner - for $6.95. I was intrigued by its promises. It says it removes tiny swirl marks in acrylic and plastic. I gave it a go... a major improvement. Note - never use paper serviettes from maccas or KFC to wipe off dust your instrument fascia - they're like sand paper.
