Hi All - Thought I would do a rig build to show off the benefit of knowledge I have gained from this forum, and share my pride and joy with you.
Purchased the new addition back in July 2011 (a 2009 120 D4D Manual GXL), with only 32,000km on the clock, and rather pristine. Was stock, with Toyota Sovereign bar and rear window tint, with the factory issue grandcraps on the rims.
The car is the family commuter during the week, with three little monkeys to cart around the traps, and my play thing on the weekends (on the odd occasion I actually have time to play or am allowed to drive it). We are planning on doing a lot of camping with the kids in the coming years, so wanted to fit the car out for that purpose, with some additional off-road capability. Also, when at home, I like to cart a boat around, so the car needs to be self sufficient for camping, with no reliance on a trailer for carting the gear around. This will also give us the ability to explore the big island of Australia in the years to come without being restricted by a camper trailer.
Since we bought the car, the following mod's have been added:
- Offroad Capability:
New rubber - BFG 265/65/R17 AT's x 5
