I fit the fuel filter up myself. Found an L bracket at bunnings, lopped a little off one end, drilled mounting holes, in fact some of the holes lined up. Threads are already in the guard for mounting. I bought the filter from eBay as just the housing and filter and got the brass fittings from Repco and some hose. It worked about about $40 cheaper than buying a whole off the shelf kit.
Primed it up using the factory primer, had a heart attack when it didn't start first go, but a bit more priming and it fired right up!

Well this is turning into a budget build! Tigerz11 winch turned up today, bought it new for $490. Spent Monday pricing up rims and tires and getting disheartened as there was no way I was going to get financial approval from, well let's just call her my Wife.... When suddenly this happened:
I'd had my heart set on 285/70/17's on a set of alloy wheels but when I was offered some slightly used Cooper ST Maxx 265/70/17, 5 brand new Dynamic rims in 17x8 +10, a brand new cheap ass A/T for a spare and wheel nuts for $1375 the deal was done. So yeah, happy dance and all in time for camping in the Otways over Australia Day weekend! Although I won't have time to get the winch on before hand.
When this rubber wears out I will upgrade to bigger boots.

And a couple of shots from the weekends camping trip in the Otways. Camped at Dandos campground and had a bit of a drive on the Saturday. Car performed really well, got through all the places the two cars with 35's (80 Series and GU ute) and always felt safe on the more hairy parts. It wasn't super wet which was a change for down there!

The tires will wear out pretty quick as I average about 600klm a week. Ouch!
The ARB UVP was $435 which included a little transfer guard that I didn't use as I have one already from the blokes on here.
After the lift, I noticed that the front sway bar bushes had a bit of distortion. The lift causes the sway bar to push forward. The blocks bring the sway bar forward and down, relieving the pressure on the bushes. Plus I like shiny stuff ;-) They were $100 delivered and came the next day. I can highly recommend Superior Engineering!

So I gave it a little love, changed the air and oil filters, all three fuel filters, diff, transfer, gearbox and engine oils and coolant. Rotated wheels and greased the tail shaft. It's running beautifully!
Still debating on whether or not to do the powersteering fluid and brake fluid, have to research a good way of doing them.
