    Thanks Steevo

It has managed all the adventures well these past 13 years and still looks neat. I suppose that's why I'm so attached to it

Progress has been slow due to a heap of other duties I've been assigned to complete. But managed to get some more done in the last few days.

Nice rig mate. Really like the way you've done your breathers. Where did you find the fittings. Looking at doing my clutch next weekend and was looking at doing this while the box is out.
96 3.4 GXL, 2" lift, Poly airs in rear, 32" BFG muddies, Lightforce 170's HID's, TJM rack, Awning, Twine on board shower, GME uhf, Dual batteries & monitor, Storage system, ARB fridge, LED rear lighting, Safari snorkel, Brown Davis bash plate, Ironman winch bar, Runva 11xp winch, Roadsafe recovery points, ARB compressor, Tyre dog monitor, AJ's sliders, Hema hn6. The to do list is getting shorter.

          Thanks.

Believe it or not, I got all the fittings I needed from Masters Hardware.
The only thing is the 90 degree bends are plastic which I'm probably going to change to brass when I get some.

The actual breathers are press fit into the gearbox casing. I read another thread somewhere that they were removed and the holes tapped so screw fittings were fitted.
This needs the gearbox to be taken out and pulled apart so you don't drop any filings into the gearbox.

For me the simple way was to use the existing breathers and just pop the top off.

Hope this helps. If you want some more details let me know.

My sliders for the fridge arrived so I got some 50 x 50 x 3 angle iron and welded up a base that will be bolted to the cabinet.

The angle iron is just the right hight to cover the slider all the way to the top.
Photo showing the slider sitting inside the angle iron (no holes for the screws yet).

Now to weld-up the tray that will slide out with the fridge and bolt it all together.

                Thanks. still lots to do.
The lights work fine. I don't have any problem with the light they output.

They have an adapter that plugs straight in to the original socket.
You need to wire in to the parking lights for the halo lights.

I might change the globes in the future, just because I can

I have to apologise for the long absence, but things just got really crazy and I am just catching up.

I did finish my draws and they have proven to be very handy.
They are quite heavy, but over engineered home projects usually are

Here they are finished, waiting to be installed.

The next mod was a Great pair of Sliders from AJ120.
Like everyone else that has commented on these, they are great. Thanks AJ.

Could not help myself. I had originally upgraded the suspension about 8 years ago and thought it time to replace the rear shockers as they were getting soft.

Well the new Koni 90 Series got installed today and already I can feel a massive improvement in the ride.

Had a trip to Tassie planed for the first week in Jan.
Bought a roof top tent for the trip and a Rhino Platform. Great combination.
Also got a new front and rear eLockers installed just before Christmas.

Had to wait until our tip to Tassie to test them and they got a good workout.
Amazing where we went and got through with not problems.

Montezuma Falls (via Melba flats), Balfour Track and the Sandy Cape track (amongst others along the way) did not get stuck once. Just switched on the eLockers and powered through.

Finished installing a heat exchanger yesterday and was surprised at how hot the water actually got.
Another creature comfort to make the trips even more enjoyable

Had to move my compressor to sit next to my second battery so the heat exchanger now sits in the gap between the brake system and the guard.

The engine water was easy to redirect by just removing one of the moulded rubber heater hoses and replacing it with a couple of pieces of standard heater hose that connected the heat exchanger.

The other side of the heat exchanger just has some male brass garden hose fittings so I just connect the length of hose I need.

To test it I used a jerry can to supply the water pumped it through the heat exchanger and it was coming out steaming hot. The temperature was way too hot to shower with but using the care temperature controls the temperature should be able to be reduced.

I need to make some hose attachments now to be able to use it properly.

Here are a couple of photos of the unit installed:
The heat exchanger with the caps of the hose fittings. These are where I attach the hoses to run the water to heat up.

This is a wider shot showing where the heater hoses are connected.
