thes were taken with in 12 hours of picking up the car..pritty much standed apart from some marks on the inisde and some fine scratches n few cheaps.I have a list of things that i would like to do to the car, some things are easy to find n some things are alittle bit harder to find but the biggest factor is money for all the things i want to do.

driving it back home,i started to get to coober pedy and the car had started to over heat,so i did what i could to try n stop it from hitting the red line even more.while i was in coober pedy i had to top up the radiator with water n coolant..(i no you not ment to mix coolant but had no choice).
got home ok so a trip to super cheap to get coolant (flushing time)...as time past i serviced the girl n that way i started with a clean plate.i still was have some problems with the car over heating every no n then or i could smell coolant every now n then, all so some times i could go days with out any problems, i had days were i was going through the over flow bottle and some times i could move the car like a meter and the bottle would bubble like hell so started with what i no, what it could be,so i checked earth points, battery, conectors, the floor on the left hand side under the glove box, very were under the car, engine bay and hoses..so i replaced the thermaste, after market radiator..

Yeah mate common problem. As soon as you mentioned about bubbles in over flow bottle in your post above I new what your problem was going to be. Ive been there and done that to. I bet the people who sold it to you knew it was stuffed too (bastards). At least I spent 4k on mine and sold it to a lovely lady who I informed of the issues and I did/still do keep in contact with her and the car hasn't missed a beat. I can sleep at night knowing I did the right thing. Glad you got it all up and running ok. You should be write now that its all done.......Cheers Steve (did you buy privately or caryard ??)

Anyway, that aside, the Prado looks great and wish you well in your endeavours of fixing the head!

Hey Skitzy bit of bad luck there mate. Nice, wish mine was diesel. A question is that radiator one of them cheap ebay ones?. Reason for asking my mate bought one for his GU and the fitting on the bottom of the radiator from the trans line broke off and stuffed his auto. Keep an eye on this if yours is one of them.

Looks in great shape. Pity about the problems. Hopefully you've seen the last of them.

I'm sure you'll have great fun adding your mods to it.
