  • Tony's GX 2011 150 3lt intercooled turbo diesel

Hi all, My name is Tony, I was born and still live in Darwin N.T. just picked up the Prado last Tuesday, got it back to work and fitted new plates as didn't have any

    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0785.jpg.html

here are the tyres that were on the car

    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0786.jpg.html
    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0787.jpg.html

woops no photo's of the new tyres, will fix that when I get my car back. (fitting draws and other stuff)
    bought Goodyear Wrangler Duratrak's

got it home couple of pics, came with the smartbar, not sure if I like it or not

    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0794.jpg.html
    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0793.jpg.html

and a couple of pics of the rear before the draws and other stuff I am getting done
started to fit a rear door table but thought I would finish it after the draws and fridge slides have been fitted first
    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0792.jpg.html

have tech screwed straps to door skin then looped the straps over the trim
    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0788.jpg.html

thought I took photo's but I can't find them for the tech screws behind the trim, a small bit of info I burnt holes through the webbing so when screwing in the tech screws it didn't bind up, also doubled up the strap extra strength

also fitted a led light to the top of the back door and wired it up to the rear boot area light switch

    http://s1117.photobucket.com/user/vi..._0790.jpg.html

will have to take a lot more pics when doing mod's, first time doing this (any help greatly appreciated, I know the effort you guys have done now that I have done this)

have heaps of recovery gear from the hilux to go in the rear draws (will list when I work out what will fit in 1 of the draws

    mod's to come

    black Widow draws (travel mate)
    snorkel
    led light bars
    hid spotlights Narva Extreme's of the Ultima's 225 50W
    Engle fridge tilt slides
water tank, 12v pump hope fit between Engles and rear seats
in the rear 2 x 12v cigarette sockets and 2 Engle posifit sockets 1 of each on left and right
Brown Davis under body protection all 3 parts
    Superior stealth rock sliders
    dual battery system
2" lift (undecided who TJM,OME, L&S Spring works, Opposite lock)
ARB front and rear Air lockers
    Rhino premier alloy roof platform
all ready ordered the TrakRax from Craig (great guy to deal with)
    rear door table
recovery points (will need to see what PP people recon the best way to go)
    UHF and aerial

hope you all have a great day

Mate, I understand about spending lots of time on here. I don't leave the matrax on as I do not want them stolen. Also as I drive from Humpty Doo to Larrakyah everyday. Less stuff on the car means less drag day to day.
Also makes it less than obvious for knocking things off.

          You live out that way?

              Welcome Tony,

Like SOL stated, it's great to see another Territory fella.

Good luck with your builds and looking forward to reading your write-ups. I've done a number of mods on my 2010 GX but never started my own build thread.

Again, welcome and might see you around the Darwin GTG.

              Cheers Mitch

lol green nick yes you are right

where my daughter works was sending 6 to the auctions, i got a really good price for mine, also the only one that didn't have cracks in the front wheel arches, they tried to sell me the Pajero GLX less km's and 20000 km's less on the clock, drove it for 2km's and took it back and said that i would take the Prado and i will never look back.
