Thought I may finally put my car up.

Its a 2012 build GX manual, bought with 18kms in September this year. As of end of November done around 7,000kms.

I have done the following so far:

    Dealer fitted hayman reese towbar
Dealer fitted weather shields, carpet mats and rubber mat in back
Painted door handles, mirrors and sills white as per up spec models.
    TJM bar in black
    TJM sidesteps
    Bilstein/Kings shocks and springs
    Dynamic 17x8" wheels
    Mickey Thompson ATZ 4rib 265/70-17
    20/35% Tint
    GME TX3100 radio

    As i bought it:

I always reckon black rims on white vehicles look the business, and in this case all the mods together change the whole 'vibe' of the car. Not many people would suspect from the first pic to the last it is the same Prado. Nice one mate.

Little update, wasnt happy with the ride height or the actual ride with the King springs so swapped for some Dobinsons springs which are stiffer in the front and softer in the back. Ended up with C59-352 / C59-325.

Very happy now, has levelled out and seems to work better with the Bilsteins. I think part of my problem was no load in the back and being a GX it doesnt have 3rd row seats, it must have been too light in the back for the stiffer spring.

              Nice rig!

Agree about stiffer springs and the GX. When my fuel level is half and below it starts to roughen up a bit more. Now I have the fridge and drawers in there it is back to being smooth. They really need a little weight in them. I have the same Dobinsons springs, they are great, really happy with them.

              What offset are your rims?

              Cheers Brad

17x8 10P, they fill the guards nicely but are fully contained within.

Thanks kyleh. I'm considering getting some but in white to be different!

                  Cheers Brad.

A couple of little updates. Picked up a Waeco, built myself a drawer and built myself a winch.

Drawer is based off Spilsy's build thread, thanks heaps! I got the template, got my cabinet maker bro in law to cut it all up to size for me, works awesome and owes me under $100 including the carpet and handle! Attached to the GX tie down points with a couple of turnbuckles.

Ran a new 8B&S power cable for the fridge, just off the standard single battery for now, havent had a problem so far, will do some voltage monitoring in different conditions and see how it goes.

Winch is a Warn XD9000 I built from the best parts of two old units, works well. Put a new contactor type solenoid in and all is good. Master switch and momentary in out switch in the cabin. Mom switch lights up when master switch is activated.

Glad I could provide some assistance. Although, I'm looking to figure something else out as the single draw has filled up...too much.

Great job on that single draw KyleH and Spilsy, that is my job next weekend. Been thinking about doing it for ages after having my Drifta's stolen. I think I will use your plans for the single draw, make 2 and also a false floor so that I can have it has 1 draw, 2 draws with seats in or out.

                        Thanks for the ideas guys.

It does look like a weapon... I've always like the white and black set up, how much was your suspension set up and how high is your lift?

Cheers! Hard to put a price on the suspension as I used to work in the industry so get good prices. Going sort of rate for similar is 1400 to 1500.

Its around 50mm I guess, has dropped a little with the latest mods but that little bit of extra weight suits the shocks as ride keeps getting better. Happy to take anyone for a spin if they are in melb.
