It weighs about the same as the steel one I built, but is significantly larger. It's more awkward than heavy.

The last steel one I had was an ARB full length steel on my 80 series. Having said that, back in the day when cars had roof gutters sliding a rack on by yourself wasn't to bad. :-)

My only problem with the new rack... The awning bracket I have won't work... I'm only able to get one bot attached...
Will have to fabricate something up.

I used three right angle brackets, drilled them to suit the awning then got three 75mm long pieces of steel plate the right width to fit in the roof rack channel and drilled and tapped those to hold the brackets.

Spilsy's 2013 White GXL Build Up

Whilst having the 2nd anchor point would be more desirable, the single point bracket should be OK. My SupaPeg awning is fixed to my Pio platform with just the two single point fixed brackets and it's been fine and it's been subjected to some seriously heavy corrugations. This awing is lighter and has 3 brackets that are a lighter gauge than my 2 that are 5mm SS but for day to day touring they should be OK IMO.

You can't really see it in the pic I took last night but each of the three brackets has two bolts going into the plate in the rack channel at 20mm centres.

I'll have to have a bit of a think about how I'll make it work. My Tigerz11 awning is probably not as light as genuine awnings. It did come with some pretty rigid heavy brackets.

And then this happened. Pretty easy to get together. Was a bit of work getting everything aligned on the roof. I was on my own, but made it work.

If anyone is curious, I used the video below as the instruction set for removing my old roof rails:
