    • Of course, me not being a cabinet maker and all, the drawer bodies are 1-2mm wider than they should be...
Looks like I'll spend part of today just making them fit!

      • Nearly there.

The left drawer doesn't slide as nicely as the right. I'll try and fix that tomorrow.

        • Starting to take shape there Spilsy! I really need some drawers too, looked at some nice setups at the Explore Australia Expo but the prices OMG!

          • That's exactly why I'm making my own.

Mine have cost about $200 plus my time and effort - which isn't cheap, but I have no intention of sending out an invoice.

            • Hmm, I've been tossing up weather to buy a set of the pre-made $800 jobbies off ebay.
But I think you have just inspired me to have a go at making my own.
Great job mate, looking the goods!

Cheers. If I can do it with my useless carpentry skills, anyone can.

                  • I think they're done...
All carpeted and trimmed with 12x20x1.4 aluminium angle. Unfortunately I broke a drill bit and my countersink didn't perform at its peak so there may need to be some finishing of the aluminium yet.

I'll upload some more photos when I have access to my Laptop. (It's currently connected to the TV allowing us to watch stuff on Netflix)

                      • Nice work on the drawers mate!

I made just a single one out of aluminium so as to leave room for the Engle when camping. (http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...-Mark-s-150-GX)

                        Cheers,

                          • Cheers. I like the aluminium. Reminds me of mecano or Lego or something similar.

My 50L fridge sits nicely atop the new drawers. I made them low enough so the fridge could be in and open.

                            • Does anyone have any suggestions on tie down anchors for the fridge.
I don't really want to have to recess them into the top, but i want something that cargo can slide over when the fridge isn't in place.
Something like this, but not so big??? (these are 100mm in diameter, and I cant seem to find anything smaller):
