• Robmacca's 150's GXL..... ongoing

Thought I had already had started a build thread, but I couldn't find it..... so here's the start some 3yrs down the track.......

Well, finally got around to fitting the Federal M/T's that I've had in the Shed for a while. Finally got a 2nd set of wheel nuts which enabled me to finally get around to see how the Tyres/Wheels look and drive on the Prado. I must say that these M/Ts are quite noisy & probably aren't the sort of tyres u would want if the majority of your driving is on the black stuff.... The tyres were very noisy on my Navara ute, but I was hoping that they might be less noisy on the Prado.... which they are with the windows up, but wind the windows down and u can definitely hear that lovely MT Tyre sound......

    Here's a couple of Pics:

Plus, I've finally got around to installing AMTS Spare Tyre Spacer and fitted the Floodlight..... now just got to wire it up.....

    cheers..... Rob (macca)

        Hello Rob

How many is the front lift?
What is the offset of your rims?
Do you have rub problems at the mudflaps?
I ask this questions because I ordered new rims (et06) and they come next year and I haven't tires but I'm afraid to buy 285/70/17.
Its not possible to buy 275/70/17 in europe grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I have a lift of 2" and the front is lifted 4cm
        Can you help me
        Thanks Geert

Lift is as the following:From bottom of Rim to top of guard - Front>805mm // Rear>840mm (Dobinson H/D Coils Front & Rear)

What is the offset of your rims?
The 7.5in Steel Rim has an offset of +30mm

NO rubbing that I've come across with the 265/70/17 M/T's to date....

There's only 15mm vehicle height difference between a 265/70/17 & a 285/70/17, so u may want to do a bit of research to find out what offset u will need if u go with the 285 size. There is a thread on fitting 285's on Pradopoint somewhere, just to a google "285 siteradopoint.com" and that should find it for u....
