    3rd world problems Jono...
Unless you're vertically challenged, go the integrated fridge slide. Lighter, cheaper and takes up less real estate...

Ordered a standard set of Drifta Drawers today, 7 week wait time I will probably end up with just a standard fridge slide, the drop down slides are insanely expensive. Can't wait though!

I've also ordered a black hawse to replace the one supplied by Runva, which has flaked and now looks terrible. Probably the only downside to that winch though!

Next week sometime I'll run the rear power from the secondary battery in preparation for the fridge and drawers, using some super special sleeving! Stand by for super sexy cables.

So the stock standard Runva hawse started flaking, so I ordered a black replacement one.

        Out with the old...

        In with the new...

In preparation for the Drifta drawers, I ordered 10 meters of 13.5mm2 twin core. I think split tube cabling looks crap and is impossible to use, so I ordered 10 meters of 16mm Techflex braided sleeve. This stuff looks and feels amazing, can expand and contract at your will and is awesome fun to work with.

Pushing the braiding over the cable, notice the braiding expanding when it is pushed forwards, it constricts again when stretched.

Neatly run down the passenger side of the vehicle

Heat shrink with glue for the ends.

Projecta battery terminal on the secondary battery.

Got my tank and installed it! Tin175 has done a wicked job with this. Couldn't have made use of anymore of the space.

Might need a washer to space out the tap, it's not super tight and I'm a little concerned it might back itself out while travelling.

I'm also going to use either a Lynch pin or R clip to stop the handle from bouncing around on the tap.

          So a reasonable sized update!

Went to Singleton to pick up the Foxwing Awning!

Just needs the little tension strap from end of the wing to the roofrack.

After coming back from Singleton I went out to move the Prado and noticed this:

About a 70cm long crack in the windscreen, luckily NRMA has me covered. Unfortunately I just noticed the rubber at the top of the windscreen has sagged in certain places.

Now time for the good bits!
I was a little over my old method for storing gear in the back of the Prado....

          So... I got a package...

And ripped the rear seats out

          Put a cargo barrier in

And put some Drifta Drawers in! (These are the standard design drawers from Drifta with their Cargo Barrier.

            Some nicer photos:

            SO MUCH SPACE

After a few weeks with the Drifta Drawers in, I went down to ARB and played around with the different sized fridges, and decided that on an ARB Fridge slide, the 60L model was the perfect sized.

Can't wait to go out on a good sized trip soon!

I'm sort of in the air as to where to go next. I have to finish up the electrical install in the rear, next to the fridge. (Current plan is for a pair of USB outlets, 1x Cig for the fridge(might swap that out for a Merit) 2?x accessory 12v outlets. I'm also yet to find a volt meter I don't hate.) I'm trying to decide if I would get more use out of a Kaymar bar, or diff lockers...

In the next install... look out for tints, plastidip, a little bit of rust repair, maybe some new wheels. (Not tyres... just yet)

Lets just say... The side steps have had a fair work out. The bottom of them is now rough steel, which in the wet has rusted in a little over a month. Nothing a little bit of sand paper and some priming can't fix.

Good to hear its the steps and not the Prado itself!!

Yeah the Prado itself is fine! The fuel tank bash plate is looking a bit second hand though!

I've been enjoying your build-up Jono and referring to it often since I got my 150.

When you put the Runva on, did you drop the middle skid pan and come up from the bottom or remove the grill and go top down?

Also, did removing the rear seats give you much trouble?
                          Cheers
                          Micheal.

                            Cheers mate!

I removed the front stone guard of the ARB bullbar and lifted it into position. I recently replaced the tie rods as they had started to rust (Runva replaced them free of charge, no questions asked). I did it by myself, but I would definitely recommend having a friend to hold the winch in place.

Removing the rear seats was extremely easy. I don't miss them at all and sold them on for a small amount!

                            I just composed a bit of a list of things I need to do before going to the Simpson in June next year, it is as follows;

Pioneer rack 20L diesel jerry holder + Jerry can
Oil catch can and Primary fuel filter - western filters.
Fire extinguisher mounted to Cargo Barrier.
Fleximake Water bladder - In 2nd row seat footwell.
Wetseat covers (Probably just the front to start)
                            Sandgrabber floor mats(Maybe?)
Shovel + shovel holder (Quickfists on traxrax)
Conduit holder for poles (Has anyone mounted conduit to their Pioneer platform?
                            ARB Fridge Monitor?

                            Rear power Plans are as follows;
                            RED ARC voltmeter/ammeter
Pure Sine inverter (for charging when the ignition is off)
USB power chargers; ideally a few, high amp outputs.

                            I have a wishlist of the following;

                            Wishlist:
Ideally 285/70/R17 BF Goodrich KM2’s x 6 with alloys (I'm still yet to find a set of alloys I don't hate that are the correct offset)
LED Bar mounted to the front of the Pioneer rack (probably a Lightforce 20" Dual row, unsure though)
Kaymar bar + Hightlift jack holder (Might have to sell an arm and a leg first though).

The Prado has just had its 40,000 km service. It's windscreen has been replaced again due to the first one sagging. Thankfully this was done free of charge by NRMA glass.
I'm going to try get some of the electrical work and the catch can etc in the next few weeks, and start knocking items off the list.

I meant to ask, are the Drifta drawers removable, and if so is it easy enough to do?
