I always thought with a new gearbox and motor, the D4D's would have been revving a little less than 2000rpm at 100km/h. My 1kz sits on 2100 - 2200rpm at the same speed with one less gear.04 GXL - Red Centa dual battery, Alloy B/bar, BFG AT's, Rhino Rack commercial bars x 3, GME TX3540, TJM roof cage, Outback Ideas recovery points, LHS rear drawer, 2" Dobinsons/Bilstein lift, ARB CKMA12 air compressor, CoilRite airbags, ARB 2.5m awning, MCC Dual Wheel Carrier, Eagle Eye headlights with 55w hid lo beam.

It's actually better the way yours is, the 5 speeds they sit just under 2000 at 100k, they easily unlock torque converters which as you may know, creates heat in the tranny & uses more fuel. The 6 speeds are another weird example, 6 speed, so you think it's sitting lower with more gears?
Wrong! Back to above 2000 in 6 the at 100k, actually about 2200 from memory.
Yes Shan I was up, I'm usually up till about 11-12 unless I'm really nakkered. Up again next day by 7, I'm not sleeping my life away

Sorry to hijack your thread Shan.
And I find cruise control use slightly more revs as well.2012 Altitude TD Auto - Silver

He Shan - nice clean build. I am really interested in how the car is going with the larger tyres (particularly given that you can probably give a good before and after assessment). I am keen to put this size tyre on (but in an ST Maxx) but am worried about engine/transmission performance dropping, especially when towing my camper off road or at highway speeds. Looking forward to your insight.... Thanks.

265/70/17 size shouldn't be a problem at all. Heaps of PPs run that size.. and haven't heard any complaints.
You'll notice a slight difference in fuel economy but I didn't feel any noticeable performance drop.
I'm sure you'll love the extra clearance!!2012 Altitude TD Auto - Silver

I'm close.. but still haven't managed to finish off the drawer setup.
Anyway with a help of a mate fitted the Provent 200 catch can yesterday. Making the bracket was the hardest bit.
Racor 230R and the ARB comprssor (yet to be wired in) is in thanks to AMTS MKII bracket.
Fitted in without any dramas..
