Have always been curious as to your build up Mick.
Definitely looking forward to this, especially your suspension setup.
Yeah I never did a build up thread before, not really my style (although I did a few modification posts/write ups years ago.)
But as she'll probably go late this year or next I thought I'd do one.
I will get to the suspension write up soon, it's had a couple of evolutions and is currently (Slowly) getting another.
Had half hour spare this afternoon so managed get started on some rear adjustable links I've had since last year.
Only got the Panhard rod in so still have the upper and lower control arms to do.
Hi Mick
Like the look of the adjustable hardware for the rear end.
Do the rose joints run bushes at all?
What is the tracking and pinion issues that you are hoping to overcome?
Cheers

Hi Troy,
The Rose joints are Teflon lined. No bush, just the misalignment spacers to suit the Panhard mounting bolt size.
The Panhard has a Rose joint either end with LH/RH threads for on vehicle adjustment. Although getting a spanner to the lock nuts was pretty frustrating an in the end I adjusted it by dropping one end off the vehicle.
I thought the double Rose joint design might transfer noise into the vehicle or be harsh but no issue in the end.
The upper and lower links are rose joint one end and poly bush the other with a sleeve and grease nipple.
Much better than the factory captive bush (For flex anyway)
Panhard was to re-centre the diff as I have 100mm of lift in the rear over a standard GXL. In the end it was only about 15-20mm out, but hay I can be pretty anal so it's nice to know its all spot on now
Just of the top of my head. TEQ is "To-yo-ta" spelled in Katakana, one of the Japanese phonetic alphabets. It was used as the Toyota logo starting in 1936 at the time when Toyoda Automatic Loom Works Ltd. launched its first car. The company came up with the TEQ logo and change in name from 'Toyoda' to 'Toyota'. One reason why TEQ was chosen as the logo was because the number of strokes in the Japanese word Toyota (eight) was considered to bring luck and prosperity.

Still to find the time to install those upper and lower rear links, you know how it is! work, wife, kids......
Did get this little beauty on today; "TEQ" badge.
If you're old enough or a Toyota die-hard enthusiast you'll know what it is

Circle 8 is also the symbol for Nagoya, Mr T's Home town and is a bit of a nod to their origins.

Yep well done guys, good to see some true Toyota enthusiasts!
I believe the "TEQ" was used until some time mid 80's when it was replaced with the current Bull's head style emblem and even though it wasn't often used as a badge on the vehicle it was often stamped on components and on window stickers etc.
While I'm not a Toyota die hard, the badge makes a good talking point and conversation starter with those that are.
