    Off Road Photos

Thule limited edition black and white pod and Foxwing.

    It performed beautifully offroad...

The driving lights are insanely bright, combined with the HID hi-beams. Wow.

The suspension is very comfortable off road. We can travel faster in more comfort.

I am very happy with everything.

I tensioned the synthetic rope in the winch yesterday. It is a remote control winch. The control box is hidden so that the radar cruise control still works! Another great suggestion from Penrith ARB.

Back to the great guys at Penrith ARB tomorrow for front camera relocation and a fridge mounting board.

      Front Camera Relocation

Again ARB Penrith came up with the goods....front camera relocation above the pivoting number plate. The winch hook is behind the number plate leaving the ideal spot for the front camera.

Geez Bawky they must love you at ARB, seems your Kaka is there every day of late :-)

Nice job on the camera, mine really needs to be moved as well but I have a TJM bar.

Just watch that numberplate on river crossings, not sure how strong that hinge is but they tend to lift up and get bent even when bolted straight to the bar with just the top bolts.

Hi Fiddo, Thanks for the comments.

I am sure they do love me. lol

The camera is really nice in that location.

Thanks for the tip on the number plate. The bracket is pretty hard to move, very firm and tight.

At the speed I will hit river crossings I will aqua plane across the surface and the plate will stay above the waterline....joke.

Did they have to extend the cable at all?

                cheers

ARB Penrith and Thornleigh are great to deal with. They focus on making their customers happy. Nothing has been any trouble and I am one fussy customer indeed! Getting a Kakadu level can be a lot of work and they happily worked on it and it is level side to side, raised and heavier than standard. There are many threads on the lean issue, all of which are not a problem for me.

I can't really tell from looking as they install a flexiable conduit around the wiring. It is about 250mm further forward so I suspect that they do extend the cable. Their electrical work is the neatest I have seen.

I have just got a new Kakadu pearl white. Good to see some quality fitment of enhancements and acknowledgement of who did the work. Will be making decision on what improvements to do first on my vehicle. Thanks.

My suspension heights measured from the underside of the rim vertically through the hub up to the underside of the guard are (note I have 18 inch rims therefore these measurements would be 12.5mm higher than a vehicle with 17 inch rims):
                        Before After Change
                        FD 767 810 43
                        FP 767 810 43
                        RD 792 840 48
                        RP 792 840 48

Rake was 25mm now it is 30mm and it looks great!

The boss of Penrith ARB has a kaka as well, so helps as he has decked his out as well with the same gear so he would know the exact layout which is handy instead of being a guinea pig with your $90K plus kaka.....Looks great by the way....Cheers Steve
