    Howdy guys,

Well, my parents are running around madly packing for their 3 month trip, leaving on Tuesday.
Dad doesn't have time to write up a thread, so ill give it a go for him.
(Sorry for poor quality photos, they were taken on my phone)

Their rig is a 150 GXL diesel. Specs are:
    -ARB Sahara Bar
    -Poly-Air airbags
    -Icom IC-440N UHF
    -Iron man 45mm lift
    -Safari snorkel
    -Iron man awning
    -Cargo barrier
    -Third row removed
    -Tyre Pressure sensors
    -IPF Spotties
    -BFG all-terrains

They will be towing a Johnno's Evolution trailer with lots of little mods to make it a bit more practical.

When the third row was removed, we made some extra storage out of the hole it left behind

And that's about it, hopefully soon i can update the thread with some pics they send during the trip!

That's a really good idea for making use of the space left behind and still have the cargo area nice and flat for weekday duties.

Are you letting the folks leave you behind Plodder Jr.?

I like this idea a lot. However, when the back of the prado is fully loaded with a weekends worth of gear, wouldn't it be difficult to access the hidden gear???

Yep, Ive been left to fend for myself!
The idea of the under-floor storage is to store the hardly ever/never used, but necessary, items that will fit in there.
During the trip they will get an idea of what they will/wont need to get for the car and trailer to make them more capable, comfortable, and practical. Obviously any more additions will be a while away, when they get back.

They left this morning and met up the couple they will be traveling with for most of the trip (except for some destinations the caravan wont be able to follow) and were then on their way.

          Loaded up, ready to go.

          Meeting up

And they sent me this pic tonight of their first stop (cant remember where, somewhere near Sea Lake i think)

Now that the trailer is out of the shed, ive got some room the get this thing back on the road!
