I spent most of today working on the rear work light/aerial mount.
Managed to get it all mounted up and the light and aerial fitted and their respective cables threaded through the car.
Just need to join the coax and wire up the light and they will be done.
I ran the wire and cable through one of the grommet holes in the rear door.
Also got the wires and coax threaded up the A pillar to where my console will go.
With any luck I'll have the console in and uhf going in a day or two :-)

Just back from a six day trip through the WA goldfields and wheat belt. First trip with the trailer I made and a chance to actually use the Prado as it was intended!
I'm thinking the next mod will be new suspension, the ride was ok but the rear was a bit low with the trailer on and she scraped her rear a few times going through some ditches.

Very good of you to ask :-)
She still had the original suspension, so after nearly 140,000 km it was time for an upgrade. I opted for 100kg springs on the back with airbags to give a softer ride around town and I can add some air when I have the trailer on.
Measurements were taken from the ground through the centre of the hub to the bottom of the guard.
Before: FR 858mm FL 860mm RR 913mm RL 902mm
After: FR 910mm FL 908mm RR 965mm RL 960mm. So about 50mm of lift.

Are those numbers to the ground? Typically we are measuring from the lip of the rim (17") to the underside of the guard. Front around 800 and rear around 830.My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Just hard to compare to others and it varies greatly with tyre pressure. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Fair enough, tyre pressure makes sense. I really only did the measurements for my own interest and doing from the ground was the easiest way :-)
Will take it for a spin tomorrow on some dirt tracks, get a wheel alignment done, then next month we are off for a weeks camping so it will be good to see how she sits with a full trailer.
