Hey Joey, is your Tom Tom any good in the bush. If no can extra software be loaded for remote travel or do you need to get one of the expensive Garmins with the extra mapping and topo stuff?
G'DAY KEVIN ,
THE TOM TOM IS GREAT BUT CAN LOSE ITS WAY WHEN REMOTE..
I BELIEVE THE TOPO MAP SOFT WARE IS ABOUT TO BE RELEASED..SO YOU JUST PLUG INTO YOUR COMPUTER AND UPLOAD..

Still interested to see how this is done. The radiation pattern must be all over the place  . Using two aerials at once (especially different ones) can and will lead to all sorts of dramas.
Ask whoever fitted it (them) to explain what they did. Lots of people out there who think they know all about radio stuff. Its a massive and very technical topic.
Just check it out and make sure you don't blow up your radio.
