  • Bob's GX

    Hi all

Bought the 2005 Prado a couple of weeks ago after 12 years faithful service from the Terracan v6.
I was looking for Diesel and long fuel range. That spells Prado or Troll. I went for Prado.

We'll be towing a camper trailer on our holidays and weekend escapes.

No plans at this stage for any mods to the running gear.

    We're setting up:
    • Dual Batteries with an AGM 100 AH as the auxilary
    • Electric Brake Controller
    • Anderson Plug at the back for the camper
    • A set of drawers in the back
    • Drop down Fridge Slide
    • Codan 9350 Antenna Tuner mounted on the spare wheel carrier. Home brew mounting bracket.
    • VHF Antenna on the bullbar, two metre rig mounted next to my left leg
    • Icom 706Mk11G will be mounted on the cargo barrier behind the rear seats
    • Did I mention the cargo barrier? Picked it up for $80 from FleaBay. Or was it Gumtree?
    • Full length roofrack is next. Shopping around now.
    • Wiring the auxiliary sockets via the aux battery
    • Running a decent cable into the back for the fridge and other stuff. Anderson Plugs.
    • Bought a decent compressor

    I'll post some pics soon

    cheers
